Well, this item did actually come with screws. It did fit in a 1 3/4" door. I had some glass cut for it and used silicon to seal the glass in place. I used it in a residential solid core door to add light to a naturally dark hallway. I would give it about a 1.5 hour job to cut the door and install the window. It is a clean look and gets the job done. i think it could be priced a little more reasonably for just being a frame, but its a specific item for a specific job and actually worked out very well if you don't mind a little project with a little challenge to it. I actually used 1/4' plexiglass since this door gets high traffic and tends to slam in the wind.

I have installed several of these windows in interior doors of our church in order to comply with our Safe Church policy. They are easy to install for soemone with modest carpentry skills and are sturdy and attractive—well, as attractive as any such window can be.
