Well done cold steel!!!! ๐ ๐!!!!
Wow very solid dagger! You will not be disappointed this thing is amazing! Much better Than all the other forged series! And this 52100 High carbon steel comes razor sharp with a mirror polish itโs really great steel! I prefer this steel to vg-10. And dagger comes with a very nice coating on the blade better than the other tan forged series that gets all marked up easily. The ring part is very smooth and thick and very well forged! Best self defense tool ever! Also the sheath is very nice too and has the ulti clip so it can be worn within the waist or anyway! Itโs worth the money this will become your main carry knife as it has mine. Cold steel really out did themselves on this one ๐ ๐!! ๐ฏ!! Update: the knife is holding up great! I wrapped the handle in some tourina leather grip tape. Thereโs no better knife for this price for self defense!

Strong, Well Built.
I gave it a 5 because it's a high quality knife. . It is not easily concealable with the big loop on it. And the erganomics of the huge loop does not make any sense to me. If you practia you can use the loop to go from underhand to overhand. And to even extend your reach. If holding facing palm up the loop could also be used as a butt to cause blunt force damage. I prefer the drop forged boot knife personally. That one you can hide under your shirt if you wanted. I'm happy with it and am glad to ass to my collection. Won't be my EDC. I think this knife is designed for a certain kind of knife fighting tecnique.

Cool, but impractical.
Heavy, neat looking blade, but more of a novelty. The ring is in line with the handles makes it uncomfortable keep a finger in unlike a karambit. You can hold it icepick grip with thumb on top of the ring. The handle also too long so you won't have a secure grip unless you have huge hands Overall, fun to add to a collection, but not an EDC.

Serious knife
This knife is serious, I firmly believe this knife is probably the best self defense knife you can buy. That is of course if itโs legal in your area.

Bigger than you think.
This thing is solide and heavy. However, I can't figure out where to carry it. It's a lot bigger than I expected. Seems heavy duty and is nicely sharpened

Coldsteel Battlering 2
Solid dagger all the way, but a little heavy for EDC application.

Great knife, heavy, nice sharp point
I already know and trust Cold Steel knives, and I already owned the plastic version of this knife before I bought it. This knife is quite heavy, and thatโs good. Itโs not meant for everyday pocket carry, so weight isnโt a factor. The fact that itโs heavy means that itโs strong! The edge (actually edges) that it came with are fairly sharp. Itโs a thick knife with a thick bevel so itโs not the most slicey thing. However, the point is like a needle! This is a dagger, after all, and the pointiness is crucial. This knife is ideal for stabbingโwhich, of course, you should do only if itโs justified and necessary. Duh.

Awesome, but heavy
This is a wicked knife, I have no doubt that it would see you through the worst situation you could imagine. Like all Cold Steel products it is overbuilt and absolutely battle worthy. The drop forged construction is bombproof; it feels like an old school Snap On or Craftsman drop forged wrench, which is nice. The downside to that build quality is that it's quite over-sized and pretty heavy at nearly 11 oz! The ring is about twice as big as it needs to be (I wear a size L glove) which throws off the balance and makes the knife pommel heavy. The size and weight means that it doesn't work very well as a backup knife, since it's heavier and bulkier than my G10 Espada. It would be a solid backup knife if you were going into battle, but definitely not for EDC. The ulti clip sheath works pretty well tho, so I bought a FGX ring dagger (2 oz, $7) to use with it for EDC.

Brutal but Cool
I'm giving it five stars even though it is not a remotely practical knife/tool. I just had to add it too my collection and to see what it was like... it's honestly too heavy to twirl around your finger on the ring, but man is it ever rugged (one might even say "overbuilt.") By the way, given how heavy this knife is, and also the ulti-clip (which is honestly kind of a brutal thing by itself), you never want to clip this on to any fabric less rugged than denim or duck. It will get chewed up. I can't see this being an EDC item, unless maybe you work in some sort of very heavy duty trade-- or it's the apocalypse.

Handle Considerations
Heavy, bulletproof, sharp. The handle is too long in my opinion. Especially when using reverse grip while using the finger ring, which is how this knife was really ment to be held. I have fairly large hands so I can imagine someone with smaller hands would really find the handle annoyingly long.

Ulti Clip does NOT fit belt
The knife is okay, nothing special, but for the price okay. The ulti clip that comes with the sheath is the small one, that does not fit a regular normal belt. They should have put the xl clip on it instead.
