This auger clears the chips and keeps boring.
I used this to build a timber tree platform-predrilling for 10 and 12" lag screws. I was about to surrender when I discovered this drill. It really is a nice product. It also stays sharp for a long long time.

great drill bit
used it on railroad ties drilled holes to pound rebar to reinforce a railroad tie retaining wall, drilled right through with my makita battery powered drill, the bit is very sharp ...very happy

Really strong long lasting bit
I am really like this bit, in the past most bits dull after drilling through hardwood a few times, so far this one has passed that test and still going.
