Squeeeek No More/o'berry Counter Snap Kit (3232) For Hardwood Floors

Not an easy fix, but it does help reduce annoying squeaky joists and flooring
The Squeeeek No More/o'berry Counter Snap Kit is quite expensive, considering you only get 50 screws, and buying extra screws is also expensive.I have found that you are not going to completely cure a noisy floor, by just putting in a few of these special screws.I have a squeaking floor problem, all over the upper floor, and have previously hammered in all of the original nails, then added ~30 additional wood screws, poured wood glue into the chipboard flooring joins, and still it made cracking noises.I have now used up all 50 screws, on my 1m x 3m top landing, which has been driving me mad, for some years. The noises have been drastically reduced, but can still be heard, occasionally, especially in the quite of the night.I tried one screw in my bathroom floor, which is covered by a grey cushion flooring material. The hole the screw makes can hardly be seen, and only because I know where it is.The product description states:'The system is simple: use the included tripod guide and driver to drill a special scored screw through the flooring and into a joist.'But this kit doesn't include the spiked tripod guide, that is supposed to be used on carpeted floors. However, I'm not sure what difference it make, over the flat guide, used for hard flooring.I now have to wait for additional screws to arrive, before I can try them on the carpeted bedroom floor.I will return and edit this review, when I see if it works on a carpeted floor.

Worked well
Used these on a hard wood floor laid on top of chipboard flooring. Noisy walking on the floor as the hardwood floor creaked. Easy to us and screws snapped off below surface. These screws have reduced noise by 90%+ perfect for my problem. Expensive but worth the cost
