I moved recently to a place with an excellent but severely neglected fridge. Too much stuff had been allowed to rot inside it, and the smell was strong enough to ruin any food kept in it, even in the freezer. I cleaned up all the rot and wiped everything down with baking soda, but that didn't do it. Leaving big plates of baking soda out in it didn't work. Eventually I broke down and cleared it out, let it hang open for four days, wiping it down nightly, and that mostly did the trick. But there was STILL a faint odor, and it was sticking to the water and ice, even with a fresh filter.I took two cups of these pellets, put them in a mesh bag, and stuck them in the back of the fridge. The odor was gone overnight, and the water and ice taste fresh. Really amazing stuff.

My mom had someone come to her home for two weeks to babysit all of her dogs. Turned out they smoked out her guest bedroom!!! I got this charcoal to rid the smell and she said it worked! She didn't need to repaint her walls. She laid it out flat on the bed on a shallow pan and turned the fan on low to keep air circulating through the room, hoping to find it's way to the charcoal. I used this method myself for odors and always had luck with it, so that's why I chose this for my mother.

Product arrived as specified but we rinsed the mesh bag about 8 times in a 5 gallon bucket and the water was still dark. We decided to go on a put it in when the water didn't get darker. It was jet back for about 5 rinses. The bag has been in my pond for 48 hours and havne't seen much difference in the tea stained water. WIll wait for results. Would give more stars if it works in a week or more.

After a full day of using the entire bag after rinsing thoroughly in my 30 gallon sump on a 125 gallon aquarium my water is still slightly cloudy. I would have expected the water to be crystal clear by now. Took around 10 minutes with pressure hose to wash out all the fine charcoal dust that initially will turn the water black.

Cleared up the tea like color in my garden pond in about 3 days. We put the bad in the skimmer next to the pump and let it run all day and night for 3 days and saw such a difference. Now the water is really clear and can see the rocks in the bottom.

These activated charcoal pellets are excellent for clarifying water. I use them in my fish tank and also for brewing. Minimal dust, which rinses off very easily. The pellets arrive in a mesh, zipper pouch which is very convenient.

This was a good buy, it came with a zippered mesh pouch and no extra work was involved to use as an air freshener in the trunk. Only issue was that black powder was messy but a tray placed underneath it took care of the issue.

Perfect size, but the bag didnt last long. Already a hole in it and charcoal pellets escaping
