Pros: These Blum slides are worth the money, and this was a good deal on six of them. So much cooler than side-mount drawer slides. The slides are reasonably forgiving in terms of alignment. The action is smooth, and the self-close is a wonder of engineering design. I could stare at them closing all day. Unavoidable: As for installing the slides, cabinets are tight spaces, and it would help to be a Hobbit. Cons: The packaging used to send these was, ahem, minimal. Scarcely thicker than a shoebox. Six of these weigh about 40-50 lbs, so the box was nearly falling apart when it arrived. I would suggest a few extra pieces of cardboard. I mounted these directly to the 'floor' of the cabinet, and as such, I needed the #6 Truss head screws ...which did not come with the kit. A quick trip to the hardware store solved that, but it seems like an oversight. When I ordered a single pair of these slides from another vendor, it came with the truss head screws. It was a small disappointment in an otherwise good experience.

These drawer slides are great, they don't make any noise when closing them and soft close feature is great. Functionally, they work perfectly. Fit is great and the once you have installed one pair the rest go really smoothly.

This is my first crack at drawer making and I decided to go for the highest quality because if you’re gonna put all the time/money/etc into it you might as well go full tilt. These slides are great. Rugged and sturdy with some weight to em - perfect extending and retracting closing mechanism/action - super clean aesthetics. The seller is really easy to deal with - everything packed nice, arrived early and was at a price that beats the piss out of let’s say if I was to go to Rockler. Overall, very happy. Oh, and don’t get discouraged by the instructions. It’s not as difficult as it looks. Just read through, watch a couple of YouTube videos to visualize the process and get after it. It does take quite a bit of time if building from scratch - but hey, at least you’re not dropping 8k on a cabinetmaker to build rectangles for you! Good luck.

Retrofitting older cabinets is tricky. Rear bracket installation is a challenge if cabinet is not perfectly square. If not square, simply measuring front rail location and transferring same to back panel did not provide smooth drawer action; would bind up 1/2 way in. Had to tweak bracket location several times to get an acceptable action; took 2 hours for one drawer. Decided to only do one drawer…not worth the effort. Quality of slides however is very good.
