These adapters worked perfectly for installing tweeters in my dash! Will order again for another car I’m doing same thing too! 1987-1990 Chevrolet Caprice is what I used them for.

the title really says it all. that's what these are designed to do. I used them in the rear doors of an old Chevy Silverado and the worked perfectly.

None of the holes lined up with factory ones

Scosche is generally my go-to brand for all things concerning car audio accessories, as they carry a wide line of decent-to-good quality stuff.These adapters fall in the lower echelon of that spectrum; they are thin plastic, but not brittle. With a little maneuvering and filing down to fit my 4x6" door panels these adapters fit comfortably. The Blaupunkt speakers that I was putting in their place must have been slightly less than 4" because there was plenty of room around the edges of the speakers. Luckily the speakers included fairly large ears, so I was able to suspend them into the bracket, though fairly clumsily.I wish the brackets included some sort of foam surround for some wobble resistance, and were themselves a little more sturdy, but for the price and the application they do the job adequately.

Fit as expected

Work perfectly fitting a 4" round speaker into a 4"x 6" oval speaker spot. It is rather soft plastic, so DON'T try to thread screws into it; it will not hold them. I used some 4mm bolts+washers+nut to secure the speaker to the adapter.

in a perfect world I would rather not have to use adapters but these worked out pretty good for me. They come 2 in a pack I had a hard time finding that, I think I had to look on other website so hopefully amazon updates that info
