Informative for a beginner.
Pretty clear instructions if you already know what to do or previously have made a Temari ball.Much easier to understand once you have seen the application on a Video site to understand the stitching techniques as a total beginner.

Clear instructions
I haven't had time to actually make a Temari ball yet, but have read the instructions for a couple and plan to make some before Christmas. The book is clear and full of illustrations which help.

Highly recommended
I have purchased all of Diane Vandervoort's books through the years. This is one of the best and most comprehensive. I have made two of the balls and found the instructions easy to follow. If I only could have one of her books, this would be the one.

Temari-Self Taught
I am a self taught Temari artist, doing great with the medium thanks to books like this one. The pictures, diagrams and instructions have made it quite easy to learn this amazing needle work art form. Try it yourself, I know you will find it helpful as well.

A great 'how to' for Temari
This is a wonderful book that illustrates the techniques needed to make these beautiful balls. The author is very familiar with the craft and writes in a style that can be understood easily. I let this book sit on a shelf for quite some time before I got myself motivated. I am sorry now because I truly love creating these wonderful treasures. Buy this book and learn a new and interesting craft.

Nevertheless it seems to be a good starter book
Delivered very quickly. The finished examples are lovely but the instructions could have been improved (for me, at least) by using photos instead of line drawings. Nevertheless it seems to be a good starter book, with results that look very impressive.
