This is my go to for demolition. Lightweight, great tool for prying, ripping and removing

I bought this because my new department did not have and New York hooks. I was shocked at the quality of the tool and how good the welds were. This has a true ny hook head and the forks are thin just like a probar. Tool could definitely be used for moderate forcible entry and I have pulled a lot of ceilings with it and it works great. Worth way more than the price on it.

In the Fire Service, this tool is called the “MANLY Tool”. Named after the rescue Captain who started using it on the job. It’s a useful tool for an officer. When I made Lieutenant and was no longer to be the first one grabbing tools off the rig, I felt like Ricky Bobby and didn’t know what to do with my hands. The only negative I have is the fork is cast, not forged. It’s worked just fine, but forged would be better.

Needed a wide mouth to remove a massive nail from a tree. Although not an ideal shape for prying, it was just about the only pry bar I could find with a suitably wide mouth, so I gave it a shot. I'm really impressed that this worked! Using my car's jack to get the force needed to pry the nail out; I ended up flexing the weld enough that the paint chipped off, and I was nearly sure it was going to yield, but it carried through and got that nail out. Couldn't be happier. Have since used it for some demo work and it's been similarly fantastic. A great buy!

I bought this this to carry in my vehicle for emergency extraction of accident victims. So far I haven't needed it. It is however, very impressive. The ends are forged. The body is tubular and probably heavy walled and probably heat treated.
