Sturdy and easy to install
The casters were purchased to add to a footstool that only had short decorative legs. Our stool is a little heavy for us older folks, especially since it isn't needed all the time. The casters are heavy duty and roll easily when needed. They were also very easy to install after the stool legs were removed. The finish is nice, not cheap looking, which is important because they can be seen under the corners of the stool. I would purchase again for other applications as needed.

Very sturdy!
I needed some height for my makeup stool. They work perfectly and on rollers you can move around with no problems. Now my stool is high enough for my new makeup area.

Great product so far. 2" size requires a 1.5" deep 3/8" hole for the mounting fixture.
I'm happy with the price and function of these, they work better on carpet than conventional wheel casters and fit the bill for things like coffee tables and ottomans, which is where I've installed them and they are working perfectly.I did use 8 of them on a heavy (4' x 4', ~100lbs) all wood coffee table to spread the load out more and help a little bit with them sinking in, but I think it's unavoidable to some extent if you are not going to move it around often on pile carpet with pad. Having said that it still moves around much easier than sliders or wheel casters, which is what I wanted to accomplish. Regular casters would be better on hard floors. The mounts need a 3/8" hole drilled ~1.5" deep, and the serrations on them help reduce the risk of splitting, but you're still going to want to have say a 1.5 - 2" footprint to work with so the leg is robust enough to avoid splitting, depending on how much weight you are putting on them. So keep that it in mind if you want to use them on the small feet of a wood coffee table or whatever.

Ball bearings fell out
I bought these casters a little over a year ago, and added them to the four legs of a dining chair that I'd refinished and turned into a desk chair. Over the last few weeks or so, I had been seeing a few tiny metal balls on the floor in my room, but at the time, had no idea what they were. Then a few days ago, one of the casters just gave out while I was sitting in the chair. Those balls were, in fact, the ball bearings, and it appears as though the ball bearings had been slowly falling out, until the caster fully failed. The casters are rated at 88lbs per caster, and I was well below that threshold, so this is not a case of misuse. I don't think I've ever seen ball bearings fall out of, well, any place where they were in use, before.I contacted the seller, and they refunded me. So I'm ordering a new set -- I do really like how these casters look, especially since they match all the finishes I chose for my chair, so I want to keep them. I'm hoping that this doesn't happen again -- although I'm a bit concerned since after my issue, I did see at least one other review that indicated the same issue happened to them. Ultimately, though, if it does happen again, I'll have 3 more casters that I can use to replace any more broken ones. If I don't have any more failures, I will update this rating.
