Love them
If you want a good pot this is it. It's big but not too big. It'll handle just about anything you want. Love it. Thinking about buying a whole set. Little pricey, but they're worth it.

Quality cookware
Very pleased with my Calphalon dutch oven. Its heavy-duty and will probably be passed on to one of my children. Was an IKEA kitchenware customer, but now that I'm older I'm going for quality so I don't have to replace items in a few years. 8.5qt was probably a little large for my needs but maybe someday I'll have a chest freezer and will be able to freeze larger quantities of spaghetti sauces and other things.

Deep heavy bottom pot
Very large pan. Have not used it yet. But if it is like the caliphon pots and pans, I'm sure that I won't be disappointed.

Very Good Except.....
I've only had the Dutch Oven (8.5 qt) for a few days, but it's pretty good. The metal is thick and disperses heat well. I used to have all Calphalon Anodized Aluminum but over the course of 10+ years the finish has started to wear off. Stainless steel is definitely the way to go in my opinion.The real problem is the glass lid. Steam leaks right from the sides where the handles are so they'll get hot. Also the handles for the cover are right next to the handles for the pot making them hard to grab. If the lid had a handle on the top it would be much better. I have other lids the same size so I'll probably end up using one of those.

If you love to cook buy these pots and pans
I had good quality pots and pans before (previous set for 20 years) but this caphalon line is amazing. I'm replacing all my old cookware with it.

spots at the bottom
After only 2 days of use the inside bottom part developed some while spots. tried cleaning hard but they didn't go. not a value for money.

high quality
good heavy stuff great i bought it for deep frying fried chicken and of course can be used heaps of ways . dont use it anymore but its still there chillin and i expect it to keep on lasting
