This product arrived new in box. The product only allows you to wirelessly place and receive phone calls over Bluetooth to your car stereo. It does not allow you to wirelessly stream music over Bluetooth to your car stereo.This missing ability was really the sole reason for the purchase. I'm hugely disappointed. Box and advertising suggested that wireless music streaming was available. Customer support from Aduro say I have to hook up an AUX cable from my smartphone to my Aduro FMT40 (this item). I could've bought Chinese spinoffs for much cheaper that allow me to wirelessly stream musicLook else where than the Aduro FMT40 FM transmitter. It is a let down.

Works great for older phones, won't connect to Samsung note but did fine with apple 3 and Samsung 4

I like this but it only worked for me for about two years which is good plus they give a limited lifetime warranty.I like that :-)

Exactly what I expected. In box, not opened. Works perfectly so far. Perfect piece of equipment for a car with no aux options.

A must-have if your vehicle is not bluetooth handsfree enabled! I primarily use it for playing music via bluetooth to my FM transmitter!

Terrible product! I read many reviews about the this handsfree device and knew that I would not be able to use bluetooth to stream music from my phone. I did, however, expect to be able to use a USB cable or AUX cable. Neither worked. Also, when I made calls using the bluetooth, the person on the other end could barely hear me and said that it kept cutting in and out. Do not waste your money on this device.

I was just about to write a negative review, but I googled to see if I was doing something wrong-I too was having terrible sound and bad 'radio reception'- lots of static that ruined the music, that is, when it actually connected which it didn't consistently. Very difficult to find some troubleshooting suggestions, so I was boxing it up when the picture on the box showed the volume knob would also change the FM frequency. The directions in the box are minimal at best, and the directions only indicate the knob was a volume control. There is also no 'troubleshooting' ideas in the box. I was able to find a fm frequency on my radio that had no station broadcasting, and very little static, so I tuned the device to that frequency, and voila! Fairly clear and consistent signal and sound! Now I may search more for an even better frequency, and I imagine if you travel, you will have to keep changing that frequency in case a station nearby is using it, but haven't tested that yet. It is not perfect, by a long shot, but better than regular radio stations, and since my XM service ended, is a nice alternative for the cost of this device....
