We have tried many brands and these are the most functional and best made boots for dogs
My 27lb Cavalier King Charles wears these in size extra small when we want to keep the burs from the woods and other debris out of his long hair and from under his paws. He loves them. He runs in them and we think he enjoys the galloping sound his paws make when he runs on the path in our woods. They stay on his feet. We have tried many brands and these are the most functional and best made boots for dogs. We use the original fleece lined muttluks for days with snow. They keep him from getting ice balls under his feet and they help to keep his feet dry and warm. They do not come off when he runs. Live in NE Ohio.

Torn in 20 minutes
I have a Doberman with big feet and skinny legs and not a lot of fur so I expect them to slip off and Velcro not to be tight. Rubber bands fixed that. Not too tight of course.Stayed on for our 20 minute run around the arctic tundra in Michigan in single digit weather. Did not expect them to tear so easily. 1 in back and frayed 1 in the front.Maybe they will last the season and be enough to protect his feet from salt and frost bite.

Worth a try
Our GSD adapted well to these...took weeks though. Products like this are trial and error. We finally found a way to secure them snug around the ankle so they didn't shift while walking. It definitely protected his paws and accommodated his large size. The durability is lacking. For two daily walk lasting about 20-30 minutes each they lasted 3 months but through the winter months. We used them in rain, mud and dirt. The first part to break down was the faux suede bottom and possibly due to our washing method. Because of the weather and grass they do smell after a week so we found washing them was necessary and that may have caused the breakage. If we conditioned the bottom then perhaps they would have lasted longer. It seems that a product like this will need to be repurchased frequently with such a large breed.

These Boots Will Injure Your Dog!
I bought the muttluk woof walkers thinking they would be perfect for my dog who has a neuropathy condition in his front legs and often cuts up the top of his knuckles due to dragging his front paws intermittently. He already has enough pain due to the condition and the injuries to the tops of his feet so imagine my surprise when after going on our normal four block walk, I removed the boots to find that underneath his paws they had been rubbed raw at the point where the strap wraps around the ankle. I am so pissed and disappointed that my dog was injured by this crap product! Additionally, after his first use of them, they completely scuffed up and frayed and the picture above is after just one week. Admittedly, my dog does drag his paws but seriously, after one week I would not expect them to look like they are 400yrs old, so caution to those getting boots for dogs with walking problems. Also, the inner lining is plastic, which probably contributed to the injury. They are not warm or insulated and when I did take them off my dog (it is January) and I put my hand inside, it felt like ice cubes inside those boots. I feel so bad that I subjected my dog to these boots. I will never buy from this company again if they don't explain why their shoes are causing injuries to animals and make this right immediately.

Best boot for larger dogs
My poor boxer had injured back feet from an autoimmune disorder compounded by rock salt on city sidewalks. Try getting boots on sore feet with a seven year old dog who had never worn them. After trying three other brands...all awful...the muttluks saved the day. They go on easily. The leather bottom does not freeze hard as a board like all the others. They actually stay on with the velcro strap. She does not chew at them so they must be comfortable enough for her. I do wrap a small zip lock bag around her foot to keep her injured nails from getting caught on the fabric, but other then that, these are great.

Boots don't stay on
I ordered these for my miniature schnauzer puppy. I measured his paws, and made sure to order the correct size, they seemed to fit snuggly when I tried them on him. While running around in the snow the boots kept falling off even though I wrapped the velcro strap as tight as possible. I would not recommend this product.

Great boots!
I love these boots. I have gone through multiple kinds trying to find one that is comfortable, not too slippery in the snow, and that will stay on. The sock like tops are wonderful. I think I could have easily gone with a medium instead of large, and when I get a new set I'll do that. So if you're on the border of sizes, I'd recommend going with the smaller choice :)

Won’t stay on
I was told by a dog trainer these are the best, won’t cause issues for dogs feet getting over heated, stay in great!NOPE! Put on the front shoes, dog shook them on in less than 5 min. I’ll try again, but not looking too promising.

Sadly disappointed
They are just a thin layer of protection and my go,den retriever got holes in them after just a few walks on the sidewalks in January. Not worth the money, even though I thought they were resonably priced.

Stay on well, collect snow in the elastic ankle band
I got these for my 70 pound pit bull cross (size large). My dogs run off leash for at least an hour a day and he was burning through booties (getting holes, losing them in the woods etc). These boots stay on really well, we've yet to lose one. They also keep his feet really warm. On -30 day he usually can't be out for more than 5 mins but with the boots he is good for 30-45 mins. The only drawback is the large ankle band. It would probably be fine if he were just being walked in the city but because he's running around in deep snow, the snow collects in the ankle and is uncomfortable for him. The snow collecting in the ankle is actually the thing that limits how long we can be out on a walk. I usually roll the ankle band down to try to reduce this as much as I can.

Nice product but..
Nice pair of dog boots, but the quality is average since my dog has been using them for only a winter and their ready to trow to the garbage because of holes!

Velcro sucks
I have had several pairs of mukluks and my biggest complaint is the velcro. It is the first thing to fray and wear out. The only reason we have to replace them is because of the velcro. Velcro needs to bebeefed up. Thanks.

Basically socks.
I bought them because my dog slips on my floors and it makes her anxious. These are basically socks. They’re not great quality. They don’t keep her feet dry. They don’t prevent her from slipping. They fall off her feet quite frequently. She still skids out on the floor. There is no change. They look cute on her, though. Overpriced for what you get.
