Middle-schoolers ASK for this game!
My middle school students LOVE this game. The cards provide context for the concepts while providing solid answer choices (2-4) which provide additional scaffolding. The kids have a lot of fun checking their responses in the fingerprints on the back of the cards. I wish the decoder magnifying glass was a bit more robust - it's starting to peel and I know I'll need to mend it soon. However, as this is only a small part of the game I don't feel it's worth deducting a star. My students actually ask to play this educational (!!) game, which makes it a 5-star product in my book!

Fun, but too easy for my 6th grader
This is fun for kids, especially because they get to use the spy-glass to uncover the secret answer; however, it's much too easy for my child. I searched for more difficult cards in each category, but they were all about the same difficulty level. The box says "3rd grade+." My son is in 6th. So, maybe 3rd-5th grade (or ability level) would be best.

The kids LOVE it and so do I
I bought this to use for speech/language therapy with my middle school kids to increase vocabulary skills. The kids LOVE it and so do I! I use it with my older kids, middle school age. It has a good mix of vocabulary and on many of the cards the kids need to use contextual clues to figure out the correct answer. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a simple game to increase vocabulary skills.

Disappointingly easy
This game was too easy for my 9 year old, and not challenging for anyone in the family. However, it did make it interesting with the detective format.

Good Game
Love this game to review skills we are learning with my 5th graders. It would be cool if it came with another few decoders to check answers. Kids like to each have one and it helps to break into groups.

Fun Learning Game.
My students really like this game. Amazing how a simple spyglass changes all the dynamics of a learning game.
