Oh My......this is an amazing produce!!
I had no idea you could purchase this rope light and cut it to custom sizes.....YES YOU CAN!!!! I talked my husband into making huge 4' snowflakes using rebar. I was able to wrap the snowflake design using cable ties to secure the rope to the frames. I found working in a warm environment worked best to the keep the rope light flexible, and easy to work with. I purposely purchased this brand because it was a little smaller and more flexible than some of the other brands that would not work for detailed shaping like this. The use of this rope light made our projects go above spectacular. It comes with additional connectors to make several lengths from one spool. I did order additional connectors to utilize all the rope. The cut line is every three feet. You can tape over the excess so it doesn't show. First cut was scary but after that it was a breeze. I did order some end caps that left the finished product very professional. If you have priced lighted snowflakes of this size and quality.....we were able to DIY these for less than 25% of the cost of commercial ones.

bright white lighting
I was looking for a bright white LED rope light, many are the yellowish 'warm' white and I wanted a continuous piece as it was being used outdoors and joints can leak etc. We purchased a home that has some lighting at the front door but nothing along the walkway to the driveway or at the end of the garage along the driveway. When guests leave after dark there was no lighting so they could see their way. We did not want traditional garden lights nor to add a bunch of wall lights so I came up with the idea to run a strip of rope lighting in a bed of white marble - the full length from the front porch to the back corner of the garage. We also used an edging product to go between the white marble and red mulch. Looks awesome. We cover the rope light with the marble rock just enough to let lots of light out but not be too bright (this is a good bright rope light) I took two of these photos at early dusk so you can see the lay out too.

Good quality and omni-directional light
This is by far the best of the light ropes I have bought so far - and I've bought many. I use these to backlight crown moldings that I install 2" below the ceiling. There are 2 main reasons why I prefer these over the others: - these are smaller in diameter and much easier to get straight down on to the molding so they are not visible - the lights shine omni-directional, which is a big deal if you want even illumination. All other brands I have used so far are directional (as in 180 or less). It is next to impossible to keep the bright side up on a 100+ ft run. The rope will twist so I never quite get the effect the way I want it. Not so with this product, very easy to put in and it just works. Gotta love that! These ropes appear to be well made. The connectors look solid and there are several extra power cords so any leftovers can be used elsewhere. I will order more and replace some of the ropes I have used. The attached picture shows a very yellow light, which in reality looks warm white. iPhone X does not seem to handle colors very well. :-)

Nice color but not able to connect two together...both not working now...trashed
Great light, my only question is why there is an extra cord plug...since I bought 3 now have 3 extra I purchased 3 and one still working . The other two tried to connect...neither light rope works now.

Lose brightness over time/bad spots in line out of box
Used these lights for 1 year and they start out great. I bought 2 150' rolls and each roll had a bad section from the start. I cut out the bad section and they worked well after that for a solid 6-8 months before another section went bad. I still had some roll left so I went to replace the bad section but I ended up having to replace the entire strand because the old strand got really dim over time compared to new. Over all I'm happy with the purchase but it looks like I'm going to have to replace these every year. I'll probably try some other brands out to see if any of them are more durable. The top rope is after 1 year and the bottom is new out of the box

Unreliable and unsafe
Ok so this is my second set of these lights in 3 months. My first set was returned to Amazon when a 4 foot section of the 50 foot length went out after only two days of use. I reinstalled the replacement set about 45 days ago and today I noticed the same issue - about a 4 foot section went out. When I grabbed the cable to see if I could find the issue I got a significant electric shock! UNSAFE and a potential fire hazard. These lights seem heavy and well made as they are the wider rope lights. However, if they fail after 2 tries, they are JUNK. Oh and of course they failed after the 30 day return window. Update - Amazon was able to work out a replacement set so I’ll see how long they last this time.

Lights Up The Yard at Night
I bought the 150 foot string of rope lights to line the top of my backyard fence. There is a security need in my area yet, I didn't want to flood my yard at night with stadium lighting. My bedroom windows look out onto the yard. I found the installation as easy as unrolling the coil since the thick plastic tubing sticks to itself and does not bind the string of lights when I wrap it around a post and put a slight tension on the rope to stretch along the top of the fence. The lights are LED so the don't bust the electric bill and they provide a soothing glow bright enough to provide security. I love these lights. My yard looks like a professional designed the lighting. (I also have an 25 Watt LED harp-lamp [100 watt incandescence] in the center of the fence.)

So far, not so good.
I received a 150' roll of these lights, plugged them in to verify that they worked, then proceeded to hang them under the eaves of my house. After getting all 150' installed I plugged them in again only to find that after about a minute they all shut off. UGH!!! Being a handy guy (grunt grunt grunt), I did some testing and determined that it was the electronic circuitry in the power connector. Cut the original unit off, lost 3' of lights, and installed one of the other two connectors provided. All is well so I ordered another 150' roll to completed the project around the house. Ran this roll for a good hour before starting and then left them plugged in during the installation. I wasn't 10' into the project and a 3' section went black. UGH!!! Flexing the tube some got the lights to come back on and so I carried on. This happened several more times along the roll which makes me very leery of the future reliability of this string. These lights look amazing. Not too bright, just a really nice glow on the exterior of the house. I'd love to give them 5 stars but I just can't recommend them with all the issues I've had so far. Only time will tell...
