Initially was disappointed, tech support was great
UPDATE 08/27023. Just adding after owning this. Unit is still going strong. The Breez can be integrated with Google Home so you can bring up Google Assistant and say "Turn on Bedroom AC" as you're driving home and it'll do so and issue voice commands for the usual stuff.I also had a further discussion with tech support about the remote configuration issue. Here's something I learned - the "controller" that receives the signals from the remote in a lot of lower end window ACs *are actually the exact same hardware as its higher BTU models*. This means there are HIDDEN FEATURES in these remotes that are "shut off" from you if you buy lower BTU ACs. Apparently I inadvertently upgraded the controls of my window AC by programming the Cielo Breez to emulate a *higher end digital remote*. This is why I can now simply set the thermostat TO a particular temperature instead of mashing repeatedly on the screen to wait for it to increment. I can go from Low to High fan speed and vice versa. I can directly pick a particular cooling mode without cycling through them, etc.If you have an LG LW6017R (6000 BTU) window AC unit, talk with the Cielo tech support and ask them about this! You will be able to give yourself a significant upgrade to your controls if you manually program the remote to match "the next closest one".Your experience with this product will greatly depend on whether or not the product is able to 1) properly detect your room humidity/temperature and 2) properly be able to detect your remote that has a feature set that matches yours.I have a dumb window AC and my biggest gripe with it was the inability to control its functions with the remote that had serious range issues. The remote that came with my LG window air conditioner was really bad - had limited range, even if I changed out the battery it would barely broadcast a signal from 3 feet away.I also wanted to be able to schedule when the machine turns on and off. I hate having to set the timer every time I leave for the day. So out of curiosity I did a Google search wondering if such a controller that could work with "dumb" ACs existed. Another brand showed up (Sensibo), and then this one did. I went with the Breez for several reasons. One, the "cloud" service is free. The other requires you to pay for "advanced features". Two, even this higher end model costs less than the rival brand, and most importantly this does not require a wall mount. It comes with a stand that you can attach to it so you can have it sitting on your desk or nightstand. If you rent a house, you'll know how important this is so you don't have to make holes on the wall or tape stuff to the wall.Lastly, the onscreen touch display allows you to control the AC unit manually without the need for the app, which gives you further flexibility since that makes the Cielo Breez essentially a full-blown thermostat. The onscreen display allows you to control a majority of your AC's functions - mode, temperature, fan speed, and for more fancy ACs - your flap panel. The biggest caveat is compatibility, however. I initially set my Thermostat up using the auto configuration tool and it picked out a remote that was essentially the "generic profile". This profile sucked. I had no control over the modes, had to press repeatedly for certain fan speeds, and temperature control was difficult as well. For a "smart" controller it made the controller feel incredibly "dumb".I spoke with their tech support and told them about this, and they helped me go through the manual control process and to pick out a model that is closest to what I have. Now that I picked out a good model, I can do all the fine tuning I need. I can instantly pick a mode from the app, I can instantly set a particular fanspeed without having to cycle through them and I can set my setpoint temperature quickly and efficiently.*Big caveat*, you will most likely need to calibrate the unit's hygrometer (the thing that keeps track of your room temperature and humidity). The unit I got often measured 2-4 degrees Farenheit higher than another hygrometer I have (which I also bought from Amazon many years ago for $15 and still going strong by the way!) and humidity was often 2-3% higher as well. The app provides this opportunity to do an offset. You want this to be as accurate as possible so the comfort you're feeling right now without the smart controller matches how it'll be when you have this thing take over.Power is provided through an electrical hookup and it also comes with a regular AC adapter in case you just want to do it the old fashioned way, which I did.In conclusion, if you're experiencing performance issues with the unit, don't angirly write a review just yet - get on the Cielo website during normal business hours and contact their support, they have an online chat feature! From what I can tell their support is sourced from within the US as the person I spoke with was fluent and clearly could communicate what needed to be done.

Love the Cielo Breeze Plus! Great Customer Service Phone Call!
We've been using our Cielo Breeze Plus for over a year and are delighted with it. We use it to control a mini-split unit for a sunroom (see image). It makes having to find the mini-split's own RF remote completely unnecessary, and it's always hard to find where ever the last person left it. Setup of the Cielo unit was easy and seamless. Our specific mini-split unit was in the Cielo directory. The iPhone app is perfect and the controls on the Cielo unit itself are easy to use. We recently had to contact Cielo support to learn how to restart the unit's screen and update the firmware, which were simple steps that we should have thought of and could have found on our own. Nevertheless, we called the Cielo support phone no. and reached a rep instantly who was extremely friendly and helpful, one of the best customer service calls we've ever had. Extra points to the Cielo team!

Very Satisfied
I have been using the Cielo breez plus for 2 months with my mini split AC unit. I like the display and the ap. After working well for the 2 months, it suddenly lost WiFi connection. I tried all of troubleshooting procedures that were suggested on the website with no success. I wrote a note to customer support on the weekend and received a phone call Monday morning - next business day - very prompt. After extensive troubleshooting over the phone, it turned out to be an issue with my mesh network confusing the device. So it turns out that nothing was wrong with the device at all. It is working well again and I am very satisfied with their product and customer support !

Outstanding Customer Support and Product
I have 3 Cielo Breeze Plus that have been in use for a couple years. I would not own a mini split without them. I live in Louisiana where the temperature is always changing. When I am away from home and need to raise or lower the temperature setting or switch from heat to cool in any room I am able to do so with phone or tablet.Ian and the rest of the Customer Support team is first class! Very knowledgeable and loaded with patience!

Easy to install, easy to control via phone app, manual control cumbersome
I got this controller for a split-system A/C unit when our electric utility went with peak load demand pricing. Under peak load demand electricity pricing it is imperative that the controller follows the schedule I set for it and doesn't attempt to do "smart or comfort-based response" which might turn on the unit in a peak period. This controller did that. It was easy to install - recognized my Carrier system immediately. I originally got the Breeze Lite version (without manual control, only app control) but decided that the location needed manual control. However, the manual control "capacitance buttons" are way too sensitive and it is very difficult to accurately press the temp-up button without also activating the menu button right next to it. That really confuses anyone not familiar with the thermostat and results in changing settings that you don't want changed. One other glitch that required a customer support call was that the thermostat didn't change time for DST - it needed a "reset" process. Customer support was very helpful about that and I hope that the next DST changeover will go automatically. My application for this thermostat was in a separate building - a barn - where we wanted to be able to turn on heat or cool before we had to go out. Bottom line - very useful thermostat, really wish the manual controls were less sensitive.
