Why would you need this? The arrangements don't change much (always immaculate musicianship of course), there are no visual tricks and, let's be honest, they are not the most photogenic of guys (the girls are great, of course). But you DO need this because if you are a true fan of modern music - the quality of song, groove, arrangements and the musical proficiency - there is NOTHING better than Steely Dan. This DVD is annoyingly 4:3 aspect ratio and logo'd in the top right corner of the screen, but camera work is better than "Perfection in Performance" and the sound quality is just fine. They are the masters - sadly, the rest of us fall into the "not worthy " category. I've always said that if I were given two musical wishes the first would be to be good enough to play in Steely Dan and the second one would be to be invited to do so.
