This book was a Godsend in helping me manage my very severe dust mite allergy. For example, even though my allergist did an excellent job of educating me on bedding and mattresses, I did not know dust mites thrive in a moist environment. Now, I have dehumidifiers and my symptoms are greatly reduced. The authors recommendations are very practical and easy...nothing terribly expensive or hard to do. I would highly recommend this book.

Address the problem with dust mites clearly and precisely. I find using a heater and position the vent straight at the wall or point of infected area immediately reduce the visible sign of dust mites problem.

The author spends plenty of energy promoting the products that the company he once worked for and most likely receives a referral royalty. Boo Hiss.I would like his opinion on how to properly use a UV-C light source to kill mites, odor causing bacteria, and molds. In addition, the juxtaposition of ozone vs. ozone free treatment. If HVAC UV-C solutions are effective in the reduction of air born pathogens. Also, who in the hell wants to gave an ugly ass box fan hanging out in there room? What is this 1989 all over again? He fails to discuss down feather filling at all.Overall, I felt like it was 80% a sales job and 20% useful information.

I would have given it a 5-star review, but as I have it on my Kindle it is unreadable. The reason is a page which pops up and says, "before you go...." This page wants to coerce you into leaving a review. But that's not the problem. The problem is that the page won't go away, no matter what I do. I try to leave a review or otherwise dismiss the page, but it keeps coming back, preventing me from reading the book. Frustrating.
