Standard lamp, major manufacturer, and good price - what's not to like.
Use this in our Honeywell HVAC UV system, 13 month useable life.A lot of the manufacturers of the UV systems put a tab on the lamp holder to prevent these stock bulbs from plugging in. The manufacturers take these same bulbs and cut a slot in the lamp base to correspond to the tab in their lamp holders. SO... if you run into that you just remove the tab from the lamp holder and these plug right in. There is no orientation needed on these bulbs so you can't plug it in wrong. And these bulbs are a LOT less expensive than the ones the manufacturers modify and sell.

Great Replacement
Highly recommend this product. I used the original one so long that when it finally failed it popped the circuit breaker it was so worn out. This UV replacement bulb fit perfectly into the socket, didn't matter which way you placed into the socket. When I first powered it on the warning light started blinking to replace bulb. I remembered seeing another review stating that. Pressing the reset button didn't change anything. Then I remembered reading to press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Sure enough the unit reset, the warning light went out and its been running for the past 10 days without problem. Air in the house has lost that musty smell that started after the old one failed. I will ordering another shortly to have it on hand when the time comes instead of waiting. For the price you can't go wrong.

Never lit up, in my old unit, or the new one I bought, factory bulb did work.

Killing germs once again
This IS the same bulb as the original that it came with. Both mine burned out after several years but I'm back up and running again thanks to these.
