I initially bought the cheap $.50/each plastic housed jacks. They're just jacks right... Big mistake. Just wiggling the plug caused the connection to make/break causing reboots, etc. in my project. Bought these all metal jacks to see if they'd be better. Night and day. I can yank the cord all around and no disconnects. How long will it take me to learn "a cheap part is an expensive part"... I threw the plastic ones away.

These fit a standard same sized barrel plug PERFECTLY. I used them for a hobby project and will order them again if needed. Another set I ordered were too short, just get these they’re hardy and perfect

Using these to add a power out to my guitar fx pedal board. It would be nice if they also had a metal washer but the rubber washer/plug is fine. The threads are very similar diameter to the knurled lip, so you have can easily overdrill if using a step bit.

I used this for DIY project to feed power to an internal 2s balance charger installed inside my RC radio.
