Perfect
Almost a year later and it's still super absorbant.

Very poor quality
I added two types of cloth diapers to our baby registry, these and the OsoCozy brand. After receiving a package of each I opened them up and the diapers themselves looked and felt almost identical. I put them through the wash three times (I used cold water) and after removing them from the dryer (I dried on low heat) it became very apparent that there is a huge difference in quality between the two brands. These diapers (Swaddlebees) pilled like crazy (had annoying little fluff balls tacked all over them) and one of the diapers actually fell apart in the dryer (the hem around the edges came undone and the fabric started fraying on one side . Again this was after three washes and the diapers had not even been used yet (our baby isn't due for a couple of months). The Osocozy brand however stayed together nicely and didn't pill. After that experience I immediately removed the rest of the Swaddlebees cloth diapers from our registry and added more of the Osocozy. I can't say how the Osocozy brand holds up over time, but I would definitely recommend that brand over this one based on the fact that these diapers seem to fall apart from the beginning, which is surprising considering they're not exactly the cheapest diapers on the market.

Good diapers that get the job done.
Our first impression of this product was not great. These diapers pilled up instantly when we pre-washed them according to the instructions. We still used them, but the pilling was alarming at first. Perhaps if there had been some warning on a packaging insert or something to let us know this was normal, we would not have been as concerned. After a few washes, the lint/pilling all came off and never recurred, and the diapers were just as absorbent and functioned just as well as the bleached Chinese prefolds I had used on my older child. Our son is a heavy wetter and he soaked through a single diaper and had leaks out of the leg more than once (we used PUL covers), so we sometimes used fleece doublers that I sewed myself to take up the slack, especially at night. When he outgrew the newborn size, we decided to switch to AIOs, but if we were sticking with prefolds I would have gone with more of these, as they were the most affordable option I was able to find on Amazon. Diaper shipping can be steep, so Prime eligibility is a major consideration for us.

Exactly what I was hoping for...
These have worked perfectly, even for my teeny tiny 6lb 12.3oz NB. I'm able to fold down to fit under the umbilical stump and so far no leaks like we've had with NB AIOs. Very happy!
