Collage by Women: 50 Essential Contemporary Artists

The very title: Collage by Women should prepare you for women having issues with their bodies, with inequality, with those things that they can see clearly where a man might need a little help. It's there, but mostly in delightful, even funny ways. I appreciate the humor but also everything else, especially the Art that's mostly hand done from photographs. Not surprisingly, photographers use their own images when they dream what can't happen any other way except through collage. (Now I know what it is to swoon.) Beautiful dreamers! But I bought this book to get a closer look at just a few of the artists whose pieces were part of the promotional "what's inside" tour. Besides those terrific compositions, I have the rest of the book to explore. Already good things happening, like insight and confirmation and yes, thinking outside the box with a twist. Worth it. A Fantastic Collection...!

This book is published in the cheapest version. The paper is of low quality. This makes the illustrations look horribly ugly. It is not at the level of an art publication. I expected something completely different depending on the price. I really regretted ordering it.

The quality of the pages weren't as expected however great inspiration for anyone interested in collage!

Beau livre, très riche en idées, mais il faut avoir quelques notions en anglais....mêmes si les illustrations sont aussi là pour nous inspirer. Certaines illustrations sont un peu petites et en noir et blanc...dommage. J'avais conscience que c'était en anglais. Cela reste un livre très inspirant...
