Godinger Wine Glasses Goblets, Stemmed Wine Glass - Dublin Crystal, Set of 12

These glasses are sturdy and beautiful. I recently used them for a meeting of my book club, and everyone admired these beautiful sturdy glasses.

I have quite a bit of Shannon Crystal, but apparently it is no longer being made in Ireland. I bought these goblets to compliment my other pieces and to update my daily tableware. They're very nice. They have a lovely gleam and have that ring you look for when choosing 24K lead crystal. The goblets are substantial and weighty in the hand. These are made in the Czech Republic, where the Iced Beverage Glasses are made in China. You can see the difference between the two in quality; albeit. One is definitely crystal, and the other may be crystalline. The Iced Beverage look more like cut glass than crystal, but that could just be me; they are pretty in spite of it, and for everyday use, it's fine. The Wine Goblets are lovely and just give that touch of elegance to a plain set of dishes. Can't wait to set the table with these. The only down side to these was how they came. When I opened the box they were just laying there bare, no tissue wrap, or anything else, which I thought weird. The other stemware came wrapped in tissue. That said, there weren't any blemishes, flaws or issues. I'm really going to love these for my everyday use.

I did not want to buy Waterford Crystal - I wanted that look - for less. I DEFINITELY GOT IT - WITH THIS PURCHASE. IT IS THE BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT ON AMAZON. OOH LA LA!

The size, shape and weight is so much nicer than all the wine glasses I’ve ever had. Goblets!

I like the glasses. They have a comfortable weight and are nice to hold. If you look for the line showing it’s molded, you can see it. But the look is so pretty that I really don’t care. The molding line is incorporated into the design. I haven’t put the wine glasses in the dishwasher but I’ve put the same brand of highball and cocktail glasses in the dishwasher without problem. I would not gift them because they aren’t what they appear to be...cut Irish crystal. They are very pretty. My husband thinks they’re great.

I was really a bit leery about ordering after reading so many negative reviews. I had a set of four my husband and I bought many, many years ago and I just broke one. I wanted to replace it and I found this set. I ordered it, worrying that it wouldn't match, would be cheap, etc... These match exactly! They are very heavy-duty, they came in boxes (sets of four) that I would be proud to wrap and give as gifts, even as wedding gifts. Now I have 15 wine goblets in all and I'm ready for hosting Christmas 2019! :)

I was amazed at the quality of these glasses. I bought them for "everyday" water glasses at the dinner table (they were $5 each), but they are effectively real crystal. They even look like Waterford style. Now, if I could just find a nice set of red wine glasses to match, I would be all set! :-)
