Great space saver for TINY kitchen!
I have approximately 34 inches of countertop in my kitchen (and that is split by a sink) to do all my food prep and cleanup. After reading a bunch of reviews I decided to give the Lipper International 8813 Bamboo Folding Dishrack a try. I bought the corresponding 8823 2-Compartment Bamboo Flatwear Holder with Metal Clips and 2 (based on a review from another Amazon purchaser) Envision Dish Drying Mat, Cream, 16 x 18 inches. The dishrack is very tight, so you have to hold tight to open/close it; a feature I like because I believe it will last longer. It holds pretty much everything I can throw at it; I just play around and put the items on the rack depending on what I'm washing. The flatwear holder hangs on the side at the upper "V" of the rack and stays put nicely after you level it. The drying mat fits nicely under the rack but isn't wide enough to also include the flatwear holder. I use the 2nd mat for the big pans and any extras that won't fit or place it down on top of the 1st mat to widen the area by 2 or 3 inches and then place the rack on top of it. Both mats then catch all the water dripping from the flatwear holder. The mats absorb everything, dry quickly, and are easy to store out of sight. Now the best part...I fold the rack and lean it against the wall behind my faucet! The mats fold nicely and the flatwear holder slides into a couple-inch space in a cabinet so I don't always have to have dishwashing equipment out and my kitchen looks clean and neat. Placing the rack behind the faucet makes it barely noticeable from the living room. I was going to buy a couple of hooks to hang the rack on the wall but am not going to bother with that now.I highly recommend these items for people with limited kitchen countertops, or for people who only need to use a dishrack periodically and want to store it in between uses out of sight. Thanks for reading!

Great rack for nine years
I bought this drying rack and utensil holder almost nine years ago and have loved them. The rack finally started coming apart this week, and once it started it went really fast; the utensil holder is still going strong though. The ability to fold it up is really helpful, although the dish rack itself is attractive so I donβt mind leaving it out. I definitely recommend getting the utensil holder as well; it turns it into a fully functional rack.

Good Utensil Holder to Help Clean Up Our Kitchen!
I have twin toddlers and handwash a lot of dishes and silverware and, for the longest time, we would just leave those dishes to air dry on a towel. It just didn't look very aesthetically pleasing and it drove me nuts enough that I decided to look into a bamboo dish drying rack and bamboo utensil holder. After a lot of searching, I came across this one. We had already bought a bamboo banana hanger by Lipper International and it has held up so well that I decided to purchase from this company again.I was extremely excited for this to arrive! As soon as I received this, I read the care instructions and washed it in cool water and mild soap, as recommended. Because of the design, it air-dried fairly quickly. This bamboo utensil holder measures 6 1/4 inches by 3 1/8 inches by 5 inches. It contains two compartments for your utensils so you can separate them for faster drying. There are five holes on the bottom of each compartment to let any water drip through and two metal clips so you can attach it to either a bar or a dish drying rack. I also purchased the Lipper International 8813 Bamboo Folding Dishrack and it fits on the side of the rack perfectly. I've included pictures so you can see how they work together. The metal clip on the left side hangs over about 1/2 inch and the right side hangs over by about 1 inch. This is so it fits nicely with the folding rack. The rack is made in China and so far seems to be well-made. As per the recommendations, I purchased a bottle of mineral oil and use that on this utensil holder every couple weeks or so to help preserve its appearance.I've been using this utensil holder for about a month and it seems to be holding up nicely so far! The only reason I didn't give this product five stars is because on the bottom of one of the compartments, the wood has already started getting weak from the water. I didn't purchase the mineral oil until after a few weeks of using it so perhaps this would've helped. Still, it's made of wood so I can't complain too much. It helps to dry our utensils really quickly and even much faster than they would dry if they were lying on a towel.Overall, I'm very pleased with our purchase and, as long as this utensil holder holds well for at least six months or so, I would purchase one again. I feel it is reasonably-priced and I love the look of the bamboo in our kitchen. It helps make our kitchen look cleaner and I am much happier with the look of our kitchen because of this, along with the dish drying rack we purchased. If you are also looking for a bamboo utensil holder to help clean up your kitchen a bit, I would recommend this one. If anything happens with this to completely alter my view, I will update this review. Until then, I think this bamboo utensil holder would be great for any kitchen! I've included three pictures with this review so you can see the product along with how it works with the dish drying rack.
