GREAT FOR STRAINING KEFIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just received these yesterday. It fits over the top of my blender perfectly. I have a Vitamix. I use the middle sized one for that. I use a rubber spatula to move it around the get the kefir milk all strained out, and then, Voila! Kefir! I've only been making kefir for a little over a week and we love having kefir smoothies every morning! I was using a metal strainer, but I had read metal was bad so I decided to get these little nylon strainers. They are perfect. I put them in the top rack of the dishwasher and they came out great! I read another review that said they have the same ones at Wal-Mart for $2. So I looked there, and yes, they do have similar ones for that price, but the quality is very cheap. It looked like they'd fall apart very quickly. These look like they will last a long time if you take care of them properly. I'm glad I spent the extra money and got these. Very pleased!

Great for the health of Kefir grains!
I use this strainer for Kefir Grains' separation from Kefir. It does the job and is not metal (which is what you find on aisles nowadays). With how healthy the grains remain, you will quickly need to use the 5.5 inch strainer instead of the smaller one. Overall, great product, nicely manufactured, have used it for two months, and will recommend it to others who decide to get into Kefir consumption. I use mine ONLY for the Kefir, but please note that with the mesh being a kind of plastic, I do not recommend it for use with hot food (i.e. boiled spaghetti).

IFFY (of doubtful quality) but OK for MY use
Pretty flimsy, not particularly well made. Mesh was buckled, not a nice smooth bowl shape. I tried out the 5inch drainer, quit almost immediately: size was ok but uneven mesh was worrisome. Went back to my old 3inch stainless mesh, which is a bit of a pain - I'm strainig about 3 cups of a mix of canned cat food and water, to feed one of my cats through an e-tube. NOTE: When I rinsed the 5inch plastic (nylon?) mesh drainer under hot tap water, the mesh smoothed out quite nicely. I might try it again...I'ved used the 5" strainer a couple of times now and I like it for my purpose: I use it to strain a bended mixture of cat food and water to remove partcles that will block an e-tube; I DO NOT force anything through the mesh, just strain out the bits. For this purpose it works just fine and looks like it will last for awhile. The shape of the mesh is now perfect and firm after being rinsed in hot tab water, as I noted in my first review

Top Notch Product
I got these strainers to strain my ferments (Kefir/Ginger Bug/Kombucha). I spent months looking in stores and they just don't exist so was glad to find these. I did read reviews before purchasing and have the following to say: I think it takes a certain lack of common sense to dip thin plastic into boiling water and rolled my eyes at those who gave bad ratings because of this. I also have enough common sense to put plastic items on the TOP rack of my dishwasher. But really I wash them by hand.Yes they were "squished" when they arrived. I think most people who are into fermenting for gut health are going to applaud that Amazon used the least amount of necessary packaging. They came nestled in a plastic bag in a padded envelope with the rest of the things I'd ordered. I took them all out and pre-washed them (by hand with soap and hot water) and they went mostly back into shape. After my first use... setting it over the edge of a bowl and moving a rubber spatula back and forth through it to strain my kefir... it went back to perfect shape and has maintained it since. Seriously, lighten up people! They seem to be sturdy. We do some rubbing and tapping to separate the kefir grains and they're holding up great. Yes the holes are a bit smaller on the smaller strainer. So I guess if that makes a difference we use a different sized bowl and/or do a little at a time. I use the medium sized bowl most as it fits my bowl and my liking, but we've used them all. They're plastic... I don't expect them to last forever. They were a reasonable price. I would totally buy these again.

Great for kefir!
Perfect for straining kefir grains! The three sizes are great for any of your cooking needs. He catches the smallest of food particles. They hook to pretty much any sized bowl and I've never had one slip so far.The mesh looks like it would be metal, but it's some kind of flexible plastic. I've had no issues cleaning it. & I use them everyday with my kefir grains. Just like anything, you do want to rinse out your stainer if it has messy, sticky foods for easier cleaning.I would definitely purchase this again!

Works great for straining milk kefir!
I bought this to strain milk kefir. This works very well for that, especially the mid-size one that I can put inside a measuring cup, pour the milk kefir through, and the agitate it to separate the finished kefir from the grains. It is a bit on the delicate side (someone mistakenly loaded it next to another dish and bent the mesh part of it), but it works well for what I need it to.

Great for Kefir!
I ordered these to use for my kefir. The 3 pack was just a little more $ than the single small size, so I figured it was a better buy. I'm SO GLAD I purchased this 3 pack! The small size strainer fits my wide mouth mason jar, but when I am straining a whole quart of kefir, I have found that the large size fits perfectly on my 8 cup measuring cup. These strainers are great for kefir because the nylon doesn't mess with the kefir like metal ones do (Something I learned when researching kefir making). They are easy to wash (I wash by hand using dawn, hot water and my dish brush) and also store nicely. The mesh would allow them to store flat if you put something on top of them, but I like the shape, so store them stacked inside other strainers.I have ONLY used these strainers for kefir, but they would be great for rinsing vegetables, fruit or straining other liquids. I highly recommend these!

Pratiques !

Perfect for Quinoa and other fine grains
Wow. These are fantastic. I didn't think I'd care about the differing sizes, but they're great. Sometimes, I just wanna strain half a cup of rice, quinoa whatever, and the smaller size is perfect. Helps cut down on dish space, as I don't have a dishwasher.About the size. Upon receiving my strainers, I was a little dubious that they'd be fine enough to hold quinoa (my reason for buying them). The spacing of the mesh definitely gets larger with the bigger sizes. Turns out, I was completely wrong. The largest strainer holds the finest quinoa I could find, and I shake it quite vigorously as I wash. Nothing has fallen through. As other reviewers have stated, it'll definitely hold Kefir grains as well.Another bonus is that I used to use a cheap, metal strainer to rinse canned beans and the like, but they would always get pieces of shell stuck in the grating. It's not a BIG deal, but I don't have that issue anymore because these are so soft. Because of that, they are stupid easy to clean. A simple rinse gets the job done. They feel quite durable. For $20ish, you could do a lot worse. These should easily fulfill your straining needs.
