Best Leave-In Ever
I LOVE this leave-in. The ingredients list is satisfying and not scary. It mosturizes my hair and leaves it so soft. I use it on freshly washed and conditioned soaking wet hair or damp hair to get the best results. Also use a little bit of this in my spray bottle of water and aloe Vera juice to refresh my wash and Go's, detangle, or add some quick moisture. I actually like the smell, I see some people saying the scent is strong..not to me. And my nose is very sensitive to strong smells, I don't like them (harsh perfumes..etc). It's noticeable, but it's not too much..just right. Natural lemon scent. Now if you're using too much, the smell is going to come off strong. A little goes a long way as long as you follow up with a good moisturizer (curl enhancing smoothie for me) and sealing oil (castor oil for me). I have mostly 3c 4a ish hair if that helps any naturals out there. I want to point out that I have the frizzier version of the two textures rather than the naturally cooperative defined curls, and this helps a bit with frizz. Not a lot but anything that contributes is a blessing for me.

Clean ingredients and great texture
Love the easy use bottle. I can spray it onto my hands first, or directly onto my hair. Use it after a shower, and then comb it thru. Also use it if I need to freshen up my look. Great ingredients and it has a very good rating on Yuka (an app for ingredient quality/purity). Will be buying it again.

I use this with the LOC method for my son's mostly 3c hair
My toddler has 3b hair at the very front of his head and 3c throughout the rest. I normally wash it on Sunday's and I can sometimes get another wash in in the middle of the week. He also gets it conditioned after the wash and a good comb through while the conditioner is in his hair. I normally only put coconut oil in it after the wash and then spray it with a leave in conditioner that I made at home with his conditioner during the week. The issue I have had is that my son's hair gets very frizzy once it dries and it looks as if I did not even attempt to do his hair in the morning. I would hate coming home after work to see that it looked like a matted mess especially since nap time takes out any moisture he had in it. After doing some research on his hair type and how to control the frizz, I came across Alikay Lemongrass Leave-in Conditioner in a suggested product review. Upon using it at first, I loved how it kept his hair from becoming frizzy and looking moisturized but as the day would continue on I felt like it was maybe too much for his fine hair. His hair would have the "wet" look even after it dried. While I don't mind the look, it is not what I was going for. I want his hair to look moist without the "I just drenched my hair in water" look. I continued researching curly hair care (my hair is mostly straight with a slight wave to it so I am completely new to all of this) and I read about the LOC method. L-liquid, O-oil, C-cream. I knew I had all of the products at home to try this out and I am glad I did. For the liquid, I lightly spray this all over his head and lightly work it in with my fingers. For the oil, I rub a small amount of coconut oil into my hands and work that all over his hair. For the cream, I have Shea Moisture Kids Curling Butter Cream. I treat this like the oil and place a small amount in my hands and work it into his curls. His hair at this point has enough product in it that is not dry and it allows me to rake my fingers through his curls. At first glance, his hair looks "wet" but after it dries, his curls have a nice coil to them and it looks healthy and shiny and there is no more frizz! Before using the LOC method as well as this leave-in conditioner, his hair would always look dry after leaving the sitters from nap time. I have not had this issue anymore. Before his hair dries using Alikay Lemongrass, the coconut oil, and the curling butter cream, his 3b section almost looks like it has too much product in it. However, it does curl up nicely and shiny after it dries. I added this to say this might be too much for 3b hair? I might try just water for the liquid in LOC for his 3b hair after his wash this week and continue to apply Alikay to the rest of his hair. I do love the slip that this product provides with his curls and it works great as the L in LOC. It has a really nice smell to it too.

the smell is to die for!
I was on natural hair blogs and I came across this product and wanted to give it a try. after hearing so many good things about it I figured out why not. first let me say that the smell is beyond amazing. it has a really fruity fragrance at first it can be a bit over powering but after a few uses I got used to it. the leave in conditioner really moisturizes my hair without weighing it down. I mainly use this when I am wearing my hair in natural styles or in a puff. I have recently used this while wearing braids and it turned out ok. there was a little build up but once you smoothed it out with your fingers it ok. I am almost at the end of my bottle and it will soon be time to order another.

Yellow 5 should be removed from this
Love everything EXCEPT the yellow 5 added for color. It’s so unnecessary. You’ll have yellow coloring all over your hands and shoulders. Don’t put this on hair if it is blonde or light in color. The conditioner will color it. Yes, there’s lemon grass in it. You can smell it, why add yellow 5? Because of the “lemon” aspect? It’s not even subtle, it’s a bright neon yellow. I thought it was the bottle, but it’s the actual product. The color getting everywhere is highly annoying. It’s not candy, it’s a hair product. Other than that, it’s great and hydrating.

CGM approved, light, and smells awesome!
I absolutely love this stuff! It smells amazing and seems to moisturize very well. I've used over half the bottle at this point. It is Curly Girl Approved and Glycerine free for those who live in a humid area. This is also a lighter Leave-in if you have thinner hair or lighter waves. My only complaint is that the sprayer can get jammed up, but this would be a problem with any product in that type of spray bottle. It's not a big deal and it's easy to clean off.
