Q: what is the filter life. If I use it for 1/2 hour and then it sits for 2 weeks do Ineed to change the filter

Hi James. According to the manual the filter is good for 100 hours. Keep in mind that this filter is not a charcoal filter but more of a particulate filter. That means you need to change it after 100 hours of pump use. Mine sat for months after 2 weeks of continuous use and worked with no problems the next time I used it. If you are using this mask for painting, make sure to keep the pump upstream of your paint mist.

This system is NOT approved for confined space.

It doesn't have to filter out anything. It provides a source of fresh air to the mask. You will not smell solvents.

I bought a 10' extension hose for the intake. It works great.
