Fit nice, the bumper cover was a tight fit over the base plate, not thrilled with the location of the safety cable hooks, tows real nice

Great product. I installed it to save the 700.00 my dealer wanted. Not an easy task. The utube video said you didn’t need to trim the car nose piece but would reinstall without making some small cuts where the connection pins exit the nose section of the car. Prior to making the mod the nose piece would not come down enough.

I have installed at least 5 tow plates on various vehicles over the years, but this was the hardest one I have ever done. Once installed, it has worked perfectly.

Not as concealed as I would like however it I understand the need for the safety chain connections to be accessible. I did trim down the light plug connection bracket to recess the plug into a more protected location.

The item arrived quickly and was perfect. Our installer stated the directions that it came with made the job even easier. We have towed the car and everything was wonderful.

Ordered the Blue Ox BX1730 Baseplate from Amazon so easy and dropped at our front door. Just installed it on our 2018 Equinox... every happy

1. The base plate should be made 1/4 inch wider so the installer doesn't have to try and beat the frame in an 1/8 of an inch on each side with a sludge hammer to make it fit. 2. The safety cables installation should be revised to show the cable connector attaching to the holes in the base plate then around the car frame. Instead of going around the plate. If the plate were to detach the safety cables would slip right off. 3. The attach point for the rv to base plate tabs need to be 2 inches shorter as not to protrude so far in front of the grill.

Install went well. It works as expected

Doesn’t fit because of shutters. Construction looks good.
