A: It is for 3/8 inch ferro rods

**Q: Why didn't the maker include the fire starter or a sharpening stone for honing?**
A: The reason I  believe the marker didn't add anything else to this product is because its on the customer to get a Firestarter or Sharpening Gear(stone,knife sharpener)small enough to fit in that small pocket. You're better off putting a box of matches in there

A: 3/8 inch
