Metra 99-8231 Single or Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for 2002-2006 Toyota Camry

It is the right kit for my 2006 Toyota Camry but there is a small 2mm gap on the bottom of the dash kit, just enough for you to notice, other than that its good quality and fits everywhere else

Once I figured out how the pieces fit together, I installed the screws and it was ready. My Pioneer head unit would fit once I removed the original bezel from the head unit along with the metal collar. It them slipped into the dash kit and was secured to the mount. As for fit, not bad, but not as perfect as the original radio. Slight gaps around the head unit, but 1/32 inch spaces are not noticeable. I like the storage slot below the radio. It provides a space to place the remote or my phone. Overall, a good product.

I installed this Metra 99-8231 bezel and head unit adapter into the gaping maw of my '04 Toyota Camry. It accommodated both the car and and the double-DIN box perfectly and with zero modification. My experience with Metra adapters: They always fit. My _other_ experience with Metra adapters: They're kinda cheap quality. Metra adapters bezels are made of flimsy black ABS plastic, which does the job just barely. Expect any Metra adapter bezel to have a noticeable gap between the dash and the head unit; and expect each Metra adapter bezel to be aesthetically "off" in color and texture. With those caveats aside... If your intent is to quickly and conveniently install your box into your dash, Metra products are always reliable.
