This is a well made hat. For the price I wasn’t expecting incredibly high quality but i was wrong. its well made, fits as expected and includes good options for adjusting the fit. it is a wider brim than i expected but since (for me) its a sun hat, that suits me fine. it’s styled neutral so could be worn by a man or woman if that sort of thing is a concern for you. its made in china if that sort of thing is a concern for you. it is lightweight, comfortable and sturdy. Comes with an optional adjustable chin strap which inserts via holes in the inside band. also includes 2 little decorative pins, and 3M brand thick padded tape strips for fit adjustment. for the price i have no complaints. honestly no complaints regardless of price.

I ordered this hat for my father based on its look and the reviews. The reviews are correct. This is an excellent hats. It's constructed well, arrives in a protective packaging that keeps the brim from getting smashed. Contained in the package is cushioning in case you want the hat to fit a little more snug. The hat also has an adjustment band inside. If your head measurements meets the upper limit of a particular hat size's measurement, my suggestion is to just buy the next size up. This way you can always use the padding or adjustment band to get a perfect fit. You won't be able to stretch the hat out if you buy a hat that fits snug rather than comfortable. I was going to buy another hat for the same price from a fashion website with the intials BR, but that hat looks less classy than this hat from Pineapple Star. I bought this hat for my father and he looks amazing in it. He's in his mid 70's and I wanted him to have a hat to shade his face & head but look dressier than a boonie hat but less formal than a fedora. The brim on this hat isn't floppy but you can still finesse it into a style that suits you. I liked this hat so much that I purchased one for myself. UPDATE: 6/30/20 The hat I purchased for myself just arrived! This is definitely a stylish hat. The size small fits better than the large. I noticed, like others, that the hat seems shallow and doesn't come down to the ears. I saw some photos of women with their hats fitted down to their ears. Mine left about 2 inches above the ear. So I pulled that hat down with a little force to bring it closer to my ears. I kept hearing a tearing sound as I pulled it down. I took the hat off to inspect it but there were no tears in the material. I checked the inside and I realized it was the velcro strap that was slowly pulling apart as I pulled the hat down. So I just unlatched the velcro connection and voila, the hat proceeded to come down to my ears WITHOUT pushing the indented crown part of the hat outward. So now I have a perfect fit, a perfect look, all thanks to a perfect hat. I highly recommend this hat. It's classy yet casual and definitely not floppy. The brim is stiff enough to maintain its shape yet flexible enough for you to bend it into the shape that you want. It will then hold that shape. Thanks PineApple & Star PRO TIP: If your hat fits snug out the box, simply undo the velcro belt on the inside. Feel free to pull the hat down further on your head. You won't damage the hat.

What a pleasant surprise! This hat arrived in a nice box that protected it in transit. The quality, for the price, is outstanding. It’s a beautiful hat and appears to be very well made. Sizing was accurate. Measure your head and refer to the size chart. There is also a way to adjust the size slightly if it’s a little too large. A nice surprise was a chin strap, you may add, if you like. Directions are provided and are pretty simple. If you’re on the fence, I recommend going ahead and ordering this hat. I think it’s an excellent value for the money. Also included are directions for packing the hat, as well as cleaning it. There are so many times when the photo on the Amazon listing does not match the item you receive, but in this case, it’s accurate, or even better!

Packing, fit (size medium), style and features were as advertised, with one exception. Like others, I could not find any way to use the included chinstrap. I found no holes anywhere to attach it. But that is not a big deal for me. Unless it is very windy, the hat is breathable enough that a breeze mostly goes through the hat, and I can pull it down snug if needs be. On very windy days, I probably would not wear this particular hat anyway. Medium size was close enough, so I did not need to mess with the foam size adjusters.

Nice quality hat. Looks sharp with beach wear. Holds shape well. Runs a little big. I normally wear 7 3/8. Large was too loose.

I purchased this hat to protect my face and replace the stetson hat, I wore at car shows that's pretty tired, I like the quality, fit adjustment and it looks awesome. I just ordered another one in beige.

The hat arrived packaged securely in a box that prevented any deformities or damage during transit. The quality of the hat is great. It feels solid and the weave looks extremely well. The hat is comfortable and the velcro adjuster on the back helps to get the size just right. I like that the chinstrap can be added and tucked up into the hat when not needed. I prefer to not use one, but they are nice on windy days. When the hat arrived, I could see two marks where the chin strap connected but there wasn’t a cut or hole for me to insert the ends of the strap through. I ended up getting a jewelers tool (small screwdriver) and poked the holes to allow the strap to connect. My only complaint is where the weave ends at the top of the hat. There are two spots and they both have straw or plastic poking downward. This made the hat painful and uncomfortable to wear and I thought about returning it but I placed bandaids over both spots and that works great. Now the hat is comfortable to wear.

I've had this hat for over a year and it's been dragged around the world in suitcases but still retains it's shape. I don't roll it, I just pack stuff around it. Without the chin strap I would have lost it a hundred times. When I'm not using the strap I just tuck it into the tag at the back. Would never buy a hat without this option again. I have a smaller head so was concerned it would be too big but with the adjustment it's perfect.

Was expecting it to arrive like it was described, in a hard pre-formed plastic to protect the shape of the hat. Instead it arrived in a simple plastic bag
