512GB Half-Size mSATA SSD Solid State Disk TLC for Tablet PCs

mSATA are disappearing quickly as the tech has been retired since long ago. Mini / Half-Size mSATA even more so. I still have an old laptop that works great and even can play older game just fine, and the 128GB in it just wasn't cutting it, so I took a chance with this bad boy. It worked wonderfully. Performance so far is stellar and no issues being detected or doing a fresh install of Windows 10 with it.It's on par with the 2.5" 512GB Crucial MX100 SSD also in the machine with sequential 560 MB/sec Read and 500 MB/sec writes. How long it will last, who knows, but likely won't have the laptop long enough to find out (hopefully).

It works and it was easy to install. It's not cheap at $89 (w/o tax) for 512gb, but it's an SSD for devices that are aging with old connectors, but still capable today.1 star taken off because the listing says it's a KingSpec SSD, but I got a Yansen SSD from the picture on my review. I don't care if it's different as long as it works, but the least the could do to deceive me into thinking it's what I order is slap a KingSpec sticker on it and ship it in a KingSpec box next time. They ain't even hiding their screw up!

Just received my 512Gb half size mSATA SSD. I installed it to my Asus S550C laptop to replace the 24Gb SSD that came with it. The BIOS automatically configured itself and Windows initialized it in seconds. I rebooted and installed Windows 10 in 5 minutes off a Samsung USB 3.0 flash drive. So far, no errors at all and the speed is impressive!

Used this to upgrade the 128 gb ssd that came with my 2015 ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS74 that was initially listed as not replaceable. Wish I would have done it sooner, but the price is finally right. Haven't noticed any performance changes, just more storage.
