As long as I don’t need to frog too much, it’s great. Minimal shedding (compared to Loops & Threads Royal Velvet which is a nightmare). However when frogging be very gentle and avoid frogging if possible. This yarn is not strong. It breaks easily. The ends of the yarn will also shed off if your not careful. That’s to be expected with velvet yarn.

This was a bit smaller than I thought it would be. The yarn is soft, but does have some issues with balding. Nothing noticeable once it’s used. I had a Vel-luxe in another color and it was much thicker than this. I was hoping for the same, but it is still soft and pretty.

Truth- I haven’t used it yet!I bought this on another website.When I received it I realized I probably need at least 2.The original website was out.So I took a chance an bought a second one from Amazon!The colors matched perfect…. It’s soft and sturdy!I don’t know a lot about yarn, but ….I can tell you it’s perfect to use for a baby gift!

I love the feel of this yarn, but it tends to fall apart. I made an Easter bunny from it and thi’ it was very soft, I’m honestly a fruit will fall apart.If the stitches are too right, or not tight enough I unravels...

I bought 6 cakes of this yarn, 3 in the yellow and 3 in the black. I was attempting to make a Hufflepuff hooded scarf, but made the mistake of knitting holding a strand of each color. The scarf is heavy and warm, but the nature of this yarn is not good for knitting together in two strands. Also, as other reviewers pointed out, it has a tendency to almost like break off in short pieces (tear off?). I ended up with a little over 1 cake of each color, so I will try knitting something else, single strand and see if it works better.

Great to work with. Amazing material. I can’t wait to knitt something with it. It doesn’t bunch up if you mess up and start again. Amazing quality

Working with this yarn is almost therapeutic. It is so soft and your hook just glides along with it.

This yarn is the softest!! It is single ply and very fuzzy. The fuzz gets on your hands and face while assembling but the yarn is easy to work with. It is very light so it may not work with every pattern I.e. I crocheted a hat and tried to attach a pom pom but the pom was too heavy for this yarn. When it is assembled, the stitches pull easy so I recommend a smaller sized needle for a tighter weave. I chose the pink colour and it is very light and pretty.
