10 Midnight Marvel Hardy Hibiscus Seeds

You know, hate is a strong word. I bought this seed pack because I saw this plant at a home center. I wanted more that one plant so I decided to buy seeds. The directions said to nick the seed before planting. I did. For each seed I performed several levels of nicking since I did not know how deep to nick. I planted each one in a seeding medium hoping I would get at least three plants. I did not get any. So I bought the seeds again. I nicked 5 and scarred 6 ( since eleven seeds were in the package). No luck again. Home center here I come.

I purchased seeds from a different vendor and a month later I had nothing.These seeds germinated within a week so I am very pleased!

Planted 6 and two sprouted. Slow to grow. Ended up purchasing a hardy hibiscus from Lowe’s that was bigger.

4/6 seeds germinated. So far so good.

Nothing germinated. Not one out of 100 seeds
