Architectural Mailboxes 6300P-10 Locking Parcel Mailbox, X-Large, Pewter

I like this one. It’s sturdy, wasn’t hard to mount on my existing 4 x4 wooden post (with the steel mounting bracket that you have to buy separately) and it looks nice. The mail stays dry and the slot is big enough that the mailman doesn’t have to crumple up the mail to get it inside. It’s kind of big, but I like that it’s mailbox-shaped so it doesn’t call too much attention to itself. It remains to be seen how it holds up to thievery, but the locks seem to be pretty heavy duty. If you’re getting your mail stolen, give this one a try.

This is a well constructed box. It is along a busy No. CA road and so far I've had no problems. It is strong & waterproof and locks securely. I mounted it on a steel post in cement so it's not going anywhere.

I waited to use this for a month and I am impressed! Very well made, good key lock. The only setback would be the mail carrier can't put a medium PKG in the slot. It will take a medication bottle size. Worth the money for sure.

Very good medium duty (not heavy duty) and sturdy construction. Trap door has enough room with more than I thought it would have for packages. Very disappointed on lock mechanism——very cheap light duty locks.

I can't love this mailbox enough! We aren't always home and able to check the mail so it's big enough to hold a couple days worth. The BIGGEST plus is that it has the lock so no one else can get into the mailbox! It's sturdy and solid, not too heavy and easy to install and use too.

I bought this mailbox primarily because it is made of extremely durable materials, locks, and really looks good. I athink our mailman appreciates the update as s/he can now put slightly larger items inside that before needed to be walked up to front door. I can now go away for the weekend without worry as the box securelly holds all mail. The back locking opening makes for easy access as well. Mine is the only household on our block that has a lockable mailbox and that surprises me as our neighborhood has experienced mailbox thefts recently.

One of our credit cards was compromised. Someone had requested a new card from my account. The agent with the company said thieves will do this, then wait for the card to arrive and steal it from your mailbox. So we decided to invest in a locking mailbox. This one seemed to fit the need. It is larger than a standard box, but not as large as other locking box designs. The simple design of a panel attached to the door prevents anyone from reaching inside, yet leaves most of the large internal area for storing the mail. You are restricted in the size of packages that will fit the opening, though. Larger, rectangular boxes that would have fit in a standard box can not fit through the opening, which is about half of the face of the box. The box has a sturdy, substantial feel to it and the paint seems to be very thick and durable. I like that it came in pewter instead of the standard black or white of most mailboxes. There is a spring clip on the inside of the door for holding outgoing mail, which is how that works since the mailman would not be able to just reach inside. It can be opened from the back or the front with the same key. It comes with 4 keys on a large placard that tells you how to order extra keys. The mailman never seems to have difficulty with it. So far, very happy with our purchase.
