I love this! It's a lovely light that looks nice, gives just the right amt of light, is dimmable, has auto shutoff timers for multiple durations. Installing it is easy if you can work a screwdriver and pound a nail hole to get a screw going. The provided screws are a joke so be aware you'll probably want to get something more substantial at the hardware store. You don't want the lamp to eventually fall on your head. 😉 This lamp is not motion activated which to me is a big plus. This lamp you turn on and off (or set it to turn itself off in an hour or two). Yep. Excatly what I wanted! Oh and it'll wink, blink and turn different colors. For the kids.

If you're looking for this light to be bright?... it will NOT be bright. 300 lumens is only about 20 to 25W in an incandescent bulb, depending on the source you check. It is brighter than a nightlight, however. We installed it in a newly-created 30" x 40" area at the top of a basement stairway. It serves its function with just enough light so that we're not bumping around in the dark looking for door handles. The light comes with a remote, which we're not using since we're relying on the motion sensor to activate the light. The motion sensor works fine, with only a fraction of a second delay before the light turns on. I can't speak to its longevity, as we just installed it a few days ago My recommendation is to NOT use the wall anchors that came with the unit -- these do not have the small flange on the end and the wall anchors pushed through the sheetrock upon tightening the screws. Instead, I took two anchors from the assortment I bought here on Amazon a while back and used those. Worked perfectly. In any event, I would NOT use double stick tape as the three D-cells make the assembly too heavy for that, I estimate

Got bored and decided to buy stuff for the shower. I bought 12D batteries for $14 and a four pack of 3M Command brand water proof sticky things that were completely useless. Broke out a screw driver and a few bigger and a little bit longer screws I happened to find in a drawer. I put a skinny nail into the holes hammered it half way home and then put in the screws. Installed the batteries and turned the heavy part into place. The remote did its job and now I have a mildly satisfying shower light. I guess this is the price of sobriety. 5 out of 5 stars! Here’s to hoping this thing stays attached to the ceiling for years to come!

Used this in my shower since no light was put in and it was very dark when shower curtain was closed my daughter at the time was scared of the dark! This lit up my shower so good and the different color options made my daughter so happy! It’s durable it has never fallen off or moved I was afraid of that because of the moister. Highly recommend!

We purchased this product because we live in an old house with limited overhead lighting in some rooms. This seemed like a quick, easy, inexpensive fix to bring some more overhead light into one of the spaces. The light itself works great and is pretty easy to install. Solid amount of light for such a small device. The cons... REALLY drains the batteries if you use it for a solid few hours a day. That's a big bummer, but still easier for us than addressing wiring a new overhead light here. I also would add that the lock/unlock mechanism to take it down to replace the batteries is not the best/easiest, but mangageable.

I bought two of these after a couple of other LED light options didn't work well - one for my closet and one for our daughter's closet. Both work wonderfully. They were very easy to install. They are very bright and do a great job of illuminating everything we need them to. I'm also very impressed with the motion sensitivity on both of them; they both come on as soon as I open the door (my closet) or step into the closet (daughter's closet) and stay on for a decent length of time. Not sure how the D battery life will be yet. I've had them installed for about a month with daily use in both closets, and the batteries have held out so far, which is good.

This light is such good quality. We installed it in our small closet we turned into a pantry that had no light, and I set it to motion sensor. All I can say is WOW! This is strangely one of my most exciting purchases ever. Every time I go to get something out of my pantry it turns on as I approach, stays on until I am done, and turns itself off a few seconds after I leave. I wish every light in my house was this awesome! Battery life has been great too. I have had them in for a month today, and they are still going strong, and it gets used frequently in my large household. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Have these set up in an office to supplement a low watt fan light. 2 is a perfect amount to add additional light to the ends of the room. Would need at least four to light the whole room with only these

It was difficult to find a battery-operated light that didn't have motion detection. Has excellent illumination for incidental use. And the remote and all the colors are fun to play with.
