I believe it indicates that the panels connect via screw terminal rather than the MC-40 connector standard for solar connections.

Q: what is max pv input, is 9 200 watt panels ok they are 12 volt

9x 200 watt panels is 1800 watts. The max you will get out of the charger is 1200 watts for a 12 volt system.. You could run them in a manner that keeps the pv input voltage under the 150 max, but at 12 volts, you won’t realize the full potential of your panels. For a 24 volt system the max doubles to 2400 watts for the same charge controller.

Solar panels are neither 12v nor 24v; a typical active solar panel actually puts out between 18.5v and 22.5vDC depending on how much sun it's seeing at any given time. This device takes high voltage (up to 150 total volts from the PV array) and low amperage from the solar panels and turns it into low voltage and high amperage to your batteries. You may use either a 12v or 24v nominal battery bank; the device will auto-select the battery voltage when you connect it to your battery bank.
