Ecco Men's St1 Hybrid Brogue Oxford

These are excellent shoes, like almost any Ecco shoes, and look and feel great. Just holding them you can feel they are a clear step above most shoes in terms of quality (except for the laces). The leather is soft, thick, and smooth and the soles are comfortable with a good amount of cushioning. The most important thing you have to know is about sizing. Some Ecco shoes are wide, but these are NOT wide, as many reviewers correctly mention. If you have wide feet like me, you need to order one size larger than you normally wear. Remember, though, Ecco sizes (for any given size number) are bigger than the same size in most other shoe brands. If you've never bought Ecco shoes before, make sure you look at the size chart. I have plenty of toe space in these because I ordered a size larger, but at least the shoes feel comfortable and fit. If I had ordered my normal size, they would be too tight. Remember, you can always add insoles if they feel a bit loose. The other thing to know is that most Ecco shoes are made for a normal or high arch foot. I have low arch feet, and the arches bothered me at first. I think over time the insoles are conforming to my foot shape, but it's definitely a bigger arch bump than is comfortable if you have low arches or flat feet. In that case, you might want to swap the insoles with custom ones of your choice. I got these on sale, and I have to say they were an excellent value. I only own 2 pairs of Ecco shoes, but both are excellent and well above the average shoe in terms of quality.

I have searched for a shoe that is not only comfortable but is also slip resistant. I have worn Ecco shoes before and have gotten away from them due to other shoes beating them in comfort. I took these shoes to my restaurant today with a back up pair. My backup pair is now for special events. These shoes are amazing in comfort and non slip on tile surfaces. Didn’t even consider putting in my Johnston and Murphy’s that I paid over $180 for and cannot keep from sliding all over the kitchen floors in. My feet still feel great after a ten hour shift. I did get the magnet color which I am still intrigued with, but a little out of my comfort zone color in a shoe. They still look great and most likely will be better looking after they break in. Leather is durable and I thought I would be covering my ankles in blue bandaids, but never got a blister by the end of the day. Thank you Ecco for a magnificent shoe that finally suits my needs!! I’ve been waiting for you!! This is the first review I have left for a shoe. You really impressed me today! I will purchase other colors in this model for the comfort and slip resistance alone.

Great shoes. Very very comfortable. Fit is perfect and really look nice. I get alot of compliments.

12/12/22: updated review. Good shoe. having warn it for a while now it has softened up. more comfortable now. for foot comfort, it is very comfortable and I can be on it the whole day. I have foot issues so I am very happy with the comfort. good cushioning and my feet have not had much pain being on it all day. initial review: This is an initial review. Got these yesterday. The shoe runs big. I ware a 6.5 US. I went to their website and found their foot measuring chart. Based on the measuring chart it said I would need a 6/6.5. I saw a review that said this runs big so I got the 5/5.5. The length is perfect but the shoe is a little wide so if you have narrow feet you'll have to wear thick socks and lace up tight. Good for winter but not for summer. The shoe lip by the ankles are a little high so it rubs against the base of you angles. Hoping after it gets broken in that it will soften up. The sole of the shoe is good so far. I have foot problems and it seems to be giving good support so far. The shoe laces suck though. It keeps coming undone. really need to change this. Will review again in couple weeks once it is broken in.

Comfortable and looks great, I'm not an ECCO guy, but might be now. Very secure and stable walking shoe. Will buy ECCO again. I am a pikolinos shoe guy, but these are damn nice.

I haven't loved a brand of shoes like this since Reeboks and Florsheims in the 80s. Very stylish. Very comfortable. Thanks, Ecco!

Size was way off. I wear a US 8.5 and even with a 7.5 in this shoe, it is big.

This shoe fits great, extremely comfortable and very sturdy. I usually wear Cole Haan and Ecco dress shoes for many years. Cole Haan's are very light and comfortable, however the front of Ecco shoes are wider and put less pressure on the foot. But Ecco's are heavier shoe than CH's. This St1 hybrid is new for me. I needed a dress shoe with good support and comfortable bottom to be able to walk fast for 2 hours a day. I consider it my exercise at work. We have long distance between our buildings and I do not use my car. So far this St1 shoe has been great.

Die Schuhe passte sehr gut( Größe 40). Sie ist sehr angenehm beim Gehen. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut.Wenn die Schuhe 2Jahre hält, ist der Preis angemessen.

being a restaurant manager my job is standing job. I would like to thanks to ecco to provide me this comfort, it is quite expensive but it worth, I will recommend to everyone ecco specially those have a standing jobs. Thanks again ecco

These Eccos are really quite different... all the style of a casual office type shoe combined with all the comfort of a sneaker [the cushioning on these is unbelievable!] and of course being Ecco they use top quality leather thats as supple as a babys u know what but there is a HUGE but... whoever designed the last [mould] for this shoe did an abysmal job. The shape is far too long and narrow and the result is a shoe that wants to eject out the back with every step because its too long [even by ecco standards] but extremely tight around the foot because they are so ridiculously narrow. These kicks couldve been truly great but unless you have especially long and narrow feet these shoes are a massive FAIL.
