Installed in GSHF3KGXCCWW GE side by side 2009 model. While I have replaced the motherboard about five times so far because of storms, outages and lightning. This time because the Electric company needed to change out my meter. Something spiked taking out the board. After being denied several times I called local news. They are now making amends. This board is very new and shiny. It works better than any board previously replaced. With all the practice of replacing boards this was the easiest. Very fast and easy install. The price was correct for the quality I received. Fridge is cooling and functioning very nicely. Just waiting for the next outage.

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO THE REVIEW BELOW: While this board brought the fridge to life, I realized after a day or two that the fruit and vegetables were freezing. The damper was functioning and the thermistors were ok but I replaced them anyway. This failed to solve the problem and the temperature was completely unresponsive to the warmer/colder settings for the freezer and fresh food part. I contacted the seller and his closing comment was that I should buy a GE original board. This board was advertised to replace the WR55X10996 board originally in my fridge, but obviously it does not function properly in my refrigerator. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This worked like a charm for my bottom-freezer GE refrigerator Model gdsl3kcycrls, whose control board was fried during a power outage last week. In that outage, one of the resistors that is part of the "snubber" circuit to protect the evaporator motor was burned, the one next to it that apparently protects the condenser fan was not. See the picture of my old board, attached. I tested both fans and they worked fine, but the board was fried. IMPORTANTLY, on my model, the left-most connector that goes to (what I believe is) J5 is only a 5-pin connector. It has orange, red and purple wires. The new board has a 9-pin connector. So I had to trim off the little piece of plastic on the housing of the female connector and plug it in to the last 5 pins of the 9 pin connector that is on the left side of the new board, sitting there all by itself next to the 3 power pins. It's obvious which end this 5-pin connector should be attached to, because the second pin is missing on the female and male connectors. The fridge won't work if you don't connect this connector.

My 20 year old GE Profile fridge was acting up for the last couple of years, unstable temperature, the temperature display would occasionally go dark and at times the relays on the board would just click for minutes not able to start-up the fridge. Checking some of the board 's components, many were out of tolerance. Time for a new board and the reviews on this board were good, so for the money, I had not much to lose. Board came in two days, it was an easy replacement and two months later, I'm wondering why I didn't do this before. Fridge has been working 'so far' as when it was new.

This part revived my refrigerator and saved me from needing to buy a new one. Noticed the ice maker began to work intermittently, then the indicator light would fade out and it would not dispense ice at all. I noticed the compressor and fan suddenly stopped running. Determined it was the control board. The new one had a couple extra components that the old one did not, but this also was the updated part that is used in other refrigerators as well. It was easy to install. It has been a few days since I've replaced the part and so far so good.

Drop in replacement for a board identified as faulty. Half the cost of the GE official replacement board. Make sure you connect all the harnesses connected properly and that the original board didn't fail due to an issue somewhere else (new board will obviously just fail too) EDIT: 3 months later and my fridge is still running strong!

I am always happy with used books and hand me down clothes and like to save a buclk whenever I can. I initially bought this component on a warehouse 'deal' and it was worthless; not even packed inside the anti-static bag, no bubble wrap, flopping around in the box in a plastic shipping bag (a source of static) and needless to say did not work. We suspect it may even have been a bait and switch. So I tried again with a NEW one. It arrived in perfect condition INSIDE the antistatic bag TIGHTLY PACKED with bubble wrap and installed it. Now our 17 year old fridge is working like new again! It has even started making ice again which it hasn't done in over two years! (In spite of a new ice maker…) It was super easy to get to and to replace so if you have an appliance in good condition but maybe isn't making ice anymore or if you are noticing extreme temperature fluctuations don't wait until it stops sending power to the compressor, replace the main control board and save yourself a serious headache! Our refrigerator is a GE Model GSS25IFPDWW from 2004 and this is a compatible part (obviously if you've read this far) it really is like a brand new machine since we installed this.

So my 2013 GE fridge stopped producing water. I changed the filter and that didn't fix it, I replaced the water inlet valve and right away that seemed to have fixed the problem. Worked fine for the rest of the night. Next morning water didn't work again and also the freezer and fridge temp were warming. - Decided to call a repair guy. $90 to show up took it apart with me testing things and put back together and as we plugged back in I noticed the freezer evaporator fan came back on which was new, immediately tested the water dispenser and it worked also. Everything is working! (due to power reset somehow?) He said he thinks it's the main board and it will stop working again but for him to order the part it's 3 weeks out on back order. - I order this part on Amazon hoping it fixes everything, the morning after ordering it stops dispensing water again and the evaporator fan isn't running. Anxious for the parts arrival. Got it today and swapped it out. Still have both problems, water doesn't run and the evaporator fan isn't running when should be. Don't know what to do but apparently the board didn't fix it? Any help appreciated.

I recently bought a new house and the refrigerator that came with it had a non-functioning ice maker/water dispenser. No big deal, since the home has a separate ice maker. For a few weeks we went on with our lives, then the temperature started rising. While trying to adjust it, the controls completely malfunctioned. A quick google search later, and I realized I needed a new control board. I bought this one after doing a little research and finding others that were 3x the price.
