This stuff is great
I have an older BMW 330. With a manual transmission. It didn't shift well for a long time. I used this product and shifting was much smoother especially between second and third. I figured this cleaned out the gears and synchros. After about two years I rained it and added new product.Very good results with this MTL.

New in sealed container
It's oil. I didn't have time to send it to the lab but, name brand sealed containers should say enough. Reputable oil company.

Better than Amsoil, better than the Honda stuff
I have an 08 Civic Si, and like many owners of this car, have at times experienced balky shifting when trying to shift quickly at high RPM's - it's a design fault with the synchros. This doesn't 100% eliminate that but it certainly made a difference. I used Amsoil once, and noticed that after about 10k miles, it felt like I needed to change the fluid again - the redline lasts at least 25k (I won't run any MTF for longer than that in my car), and is still smooth. You'll notice the shifting is smoother and the car just feels smoother - it's a noticeable change, and works better than the newer formulated Honda MTF as well. Amsoil is good initially, but having to change it more frequently than the Redline is why I've been putting this in my car for the last 50k miles.

Beats AMSOIL!!!
So before you go out and buy this stuff I highly recommend you consult the Redline website and make sure which application is correct for your car. That being said, at 45,000 miles I drained my transmission on my 2008 Civic Si and filled it up with an AMSOIL product. I'll be honest, that stuff worked great, and now at 78,000 I just drained it again and decided to go with Redline instead just because I've used their products and in the past and never had a problem. After filling the transmission with Redline, shifts are buttery smooth, regardless of the weather. With AMSOIL I had issues in the morning upon start-up when its cold outside, with Redline MTL shifts are just as smooth in the morning as they are after driving around for awhile. Great product I'd recommend to anyone.

RED LINE RULES
Red line makes one of the best oils in the world, no doubt about it, i used this MTL in a 2004 VOLVO S40 T4 manual gearbox (M56) to replace the volvo factory fluid; im very pleased with the results, i did a complete research to find the best product for my M56 gearbox, and i think i emailed the red line people and came up with this suggestion, i gave it a try (crossing fingers) and it works perfectly i must say.

Great for Mazdas
Mazda calls for 70W-80 gear oil which is a non standard weight and not many people make it. It is an improvement over the stock fluid. It is not a huge difference but the shifts are a little smoother and take less effort. But a worth while investment if you are going to change your gear oil. Also this is full synthetic and will protect better for longer than your standard oil.

... to admit this because I know RedLine to be good stuff, but when I changed the fluid in ...
I don't want to admit this because I know RedLine to be good stuff, but when I changed the fluid in my 2005 Mini Cooper s I noticed that the shifts were notchy and I even did something that I haven't done in the 4 years since I bought it - I grinded a gear! I am not sure why this happened but I am going to try Royal Purple because I have heard good things
