Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT Solar Charge Controller 100V, 15A, 12/24V

Very nice unit but I didn’t know it was that small and I figured it would not meet my needs so I had to return it for it bigger brother 150/70 unit. I see reviews on YouTube and I came to realize this unit would be too small for my project and I needed a larger unit with more amperage. I will update when I get my new unit.

Connected to both 12V nominal panel and a 48V panel and they both worked great. MPPT charge controllers have really come down in price over the years, and victron is a somewhat respected name. This is just an important heads up and the true purpose of my review. This model does not include integrated Bluetooth technology. For connectivity you have to buy a dongle, currently around $40 to connect, or just buy the Bluetooth model of this unit for only an additional $15.00. If you don't want or need connectivity, fine- buy this one and save a few bucks. But I love the information that the Bluetooth connectivity will give you and in my mind it's worth the extra 15.00. In a portable setup it will allow you to position your panels to optimal angles and see incoming watts, as well as the state of the charge of the battery. You can also easily make adjustments to the charging profile if desired.

We couldn’t be happier with this device. It works perfectly! We had it professionally installed, so no worries there. But the instructions were so good that I think we could have done it ourselves. We had two additional solar panels installed at the same time so have 600 watts of solar and it handles it well. When it is charging from solar, the green light is on, when fully charged the yellow light is on and when the plates are blocked by a tree, cover or at night, the blue light blinks. So we can glance at the device and know exactly what is going on with it. We love it!

I bought several of these, and my one big complaint, The screw holes for the wire and especially the opening to access the screw with a screwdriver is TO SMALL

I feel tricked that this was Bluetooth ready. In the pictures it shows it connected to the Victron app. Only after installing and doing lots of searching, I find that it needs the Bluetooth dongle to use the app. Its not a problem getting the dongle. The problem is my time wasted researching what I need and why it wouldn't connect. It needs to be clear from the get go on what is needed. I would have paid more for a unit that had Bluetooth ready. Just seems like a deception tactic. They need clear indication on what all is needed. Or if there is another option that has these specs but does have Bluetooth. I see by the comments many people have had this same problem. Many have sent it back. Do better VICTRON.

Bought this after several YouTube and Amazon reviews and very glad I did. My other MVP controller failed so It needed replacement. I made a system upgrade to lithium Life-po 4 batteries also and added new floor panels along with my roof ones. At first it didn't work so I contracted Victron support. They spent about an hour on the phone with me going through various tests until we found the likely source of the problem - the 300 amp fuse unit. I replace that and it worked like a dream and has been going ever since. The Bluetooth is so handy and the size of the unit is so compact compared with other behemoth controllers.

Works great so far. Have had for over 2 years and still works. I feel this was a great buy.

Muy buen producto, funciona tal y como se describe, el detalle es que no puedo bajar la aplicación pero como que ya vienen programados en cuanto a los rangos de carga y descarga pues eso es secundario.

An den MPPT 100/15 kann man auch mehr PV anschliessen als erlaubt, denn er regelt automatisch runter so das mit maximal 15A die Batterie geladen wird. Natürlich muß man die 100 Volt als Maximal-Spannung schon einhalten. Bei mir waren 2x250 Watt je 36V PV-Module angeschlossen. Den Load-Ausgang kann man wunderbar selbst einstellen(sehr exakt), ob als Dämmerung für Beleuchtung oder als Relaisschalter für einen Wechselrichter. Und da ja kein Display verbaut wurde, sollte er auch bei sehr kalten Aussenbedingungen z.B. -20°C lange halten. Mit dem Bluetooth-Dongel kan man schön im warmen Haus sitzen und alles einstellen ( Gerät hing in kalter Garage und ich saß im Haus). Nun hab ich mir aber den MPPT 100/50 geholt, den werde ich auch behalten. Bei den kann man im Menü ganz einfach den maximalen Ladestrom bis 50A einstellen, so hat man immer etwas Reserve. Bei mir versorgt er einen Gartenteich mit 18000 Liter. Teichpumpe 60Watt UVC-Lampe 36Watt Bachlaufpumpe 35Watt Luftpumpe 15Watt. Als Wechselrichter ein 300Watt/12V von VOLTRONIC® modifizierter Sinus Spannungswandler 12V auf 230V. Als Batterie ein GEL-Akku mit 100AH und 12V. Die 2. Batterie ist schon geplant dazu zu bauen Ein Manko hat das ganze aber, die Software im Tablet ist komplett nur in Englisch. Das Handbuch ist aber in Deutsch.

Comme cité dans le titre on trouve des produits moins chers mais si Victron existe encore et à ce prix c’est qu’il y a une raison : la réputation acquise par la qualité des produits. Malgré tout je trouve que victron fait quand même payer l’entrée de gamme , comme ici, assez cher . Une étoile de moins donc lorsqu’il s’agit comme ici d’un produit qui ne nécessite pas un tel prix .

Great unit. Solidly built. I purchased it for a 100w panel that i had purchased for my sailboat.My first foray into solar power. I confess the original Charge Controller I purchased with the panel was a cheap one made of plastic. The wire connections to the Controller would not stay attached, even though I stepped them down to # 10 gauge. Infuriating! The replacement Victron product had great instructions and is built solidly. One complaint: same as the previous Charge Controller, twice now a wire has come loose from the Charge Controller box. This should not happen. The compression screws and plates should grab the wire more securely. I have really screwed them down hard now, but I still find myself checking them every once in a while while underway in a sea.
