4/27/2017 Update: These Luna Bazaar Rice Paper Lanterns - 8-Inch, Parallel Style Ribbed, White, Set of 8 - work well with led lights that are soft or warm white. A twenty pixy light string is about right and if Solar charged, from an adequate battery pack will provide light through out the evening. Four stars for the quality of these lanterns of rice paper.I purchased these, Luna Bazaar Small Rice Paper Lanterns, Chinese Lamp Shades (8-Inch, White, Set of 8) to use with a string of Led lights on the patio. The use of these paper lanterns with Leds is much better than with a 120vac powered light string, as the leds do not get hot enough to burn paper where there is always a chance of that with the ac voltage light bulbs. These are about the right size for a standing lamp also and will glow enough with the lower lumens of the led to give ambiance and shadow for an evening light source in the background of the darkened porch area. I will most likely purchase more in the future and the price is right at $6.75 delivered free with my Amazon Prime membership. I like them for the looks and value cost.

They come somewhat 'assembly required' - just have the pop in the center piece that holds the lanterns open, it's super easy. I bought two sets (16 total lanterns) for less than I would have paid to just get a package of 3 from other sellers. This is truly a great deal. I don't understand why these got mixed reviews, They are exactly what they say you will get and are in perfect condition, each one is individually wrapped in it's own plastic bag, then all 8 are bagged together again as a bundle. I am very happy with these and they will make my wedding beautiful. Thank you Cultural Intrigue!!!

I think these are the coolest lanterns...My daughter suggested me opening them up so we would have less work to do the day of the wedding...I listened to her and did just that..but due to inclement weather I couldn't use them....so I have 36 lanterns I couldn't use or send back because they were opened.. :(

This are awesome. I have reused multiple times. They hold up well but I have not left outside long term. You can buy the led lights to hang on the inside and it creates a beautiful atmosphere if you hang from tree branches. I'm adding a picture that shows them in the background. I used white pipe cleaners to attach to trees. The lights that I purchased separately make a nice glow when dark.

I really like these. I purchased them to make lighted flower centerpieces.They were packaged well. The instructions for putting them together were clear.Just be careful as it is easy to put a hole in the paper, when placing the metal hanging piece, if you are not careful.

These are nice little paper lanterns for the price. Individually wrapped. I planned on mounting them to the LED lights in our new travel trailer to reduce the glare (mood lighting) and although I haven't figured out how I'm going to attach them yet, the opening at the top of the lantern appears to be the perfect size to fit up around the light. Definitely worth the price.

Excellent quality, especially considering the very reasonable price. The lanterns are individually wrapped in plastic envelopes. All were in perfect condition and easy to assemble. These are the perfect way to diffuse light from LED bulbs without losing a lot of the brightness. Fwiw, the opening at the top of the lantern is about 3" in diameter.

We used these for my daughters wedding reception in the evening at a park. We added the little LED Party Lights which hang perfectly inside. They have a nice glow and the paper is strong enough to reuse them. Have fun with these ;)
