Q: Hello i want to ask the use of Firewire and USB interface explain it please?

For some reason it is important that the FireWire card in the PC and the Helix "match".At first I had a 'deluxe' FireWire card installed (400/800 mbit./sec.), but unfortunately this never worked... Later I installed a very cheap ($7,--) Chinese FireWire card with a Texas Instruments chipset and from that moment on everything worked fine.It seems the Texas Instruments chipset is important if you want to use the FireWire connection. With USB I never had problems.Also it is very important that you use the right driver. Once you have installed a wrong driver, it is almost impossible to remove all remains of the installation. I had to install Windows again to get things right. The uninstall program certainly does NOT remove everything!
