Our Kitty Figured it Out!
I was a little leary that the kitty would figure out the cat door. The only real complaint she would have is that the magnet on the collar kind of chokes her once in a while. Maybe they can be made a little smaller. My husband explained why it can't be made smaller. Which made me sad. But, hoping he's wrong. Maybe stronger but smaller magnet? But the cat door works, she's figured it out, and the magnet is not killing her. Thank you

Not the fanciest, but functional and very inexpensive
Bought the two-way locking version. Not a fancy door, but very inexpensive for the quality. Called PetSafe with selection questions and was impressed with the US-based support.Would have been nice if they included some sort of lining rather than suggest the use of duct tape, but I was able to 3D-print a suitable flange. Ever so slightly noisy, but that was fixed with a little bit of silicone lubricant. Ball bearings would have been a nice upgrade but would have added to the cost. Included screws were apparently sheet metal and not wood screws per my tradie but they worked fine. The double-sided tape had a little thickness that left a visible gap, took these off and clamped with a bit of solvent glue for 24h for a cleaner look.Don’t think I would have gotten close to 5x the value out of a door costing 5x as much. A little fussy but you get what you pay for and a little extra work makes it an even nicer product.

It works as a door for pets.
It’s a door hole. Works like it should. Makes an entry and exit into the garage for the outdoor cats we feed regularly. Also it’s small enough that I think the raccoons (12 of them) that eat the cat food won’t fit through it… now let’s see if the cats will actually use it and not just continuously scratch on the door to get in. Installed on my metal door to the garage and made sure to file and round off all the edges so the tibbies don’t hurt themselves. Recommend to use black gaffers tape in the opening as it’s durable and has a cloth backing. I only had safety green gaff tape so I’ll be fixing that at some point (no, I won’t)Other than that it works. It’ll do the job. Only wish it was metal so it won’t deteriorate over time and need to be replaced. I’ll probably just make one out of metal and weld it in at some point. Make a plexiglass door. Until then this was cheap and easy and fits my current needs.

Very cheap, very good
For the low price of this door, $8, I was halfway expecting no so great of a product. I thought I might as well try it and replace it later if it didn't work. We had a pet safe model cat door at our old house, and when we moved I tried to but the same thing.I'll admit I must have been distracted or something when I bought this, because it thought it was for exterior door use. It is not. But that is clearly included in the description. My fault.Since we moved our pets to the new house before we lived there, we needed a way for the cats to get inside for food and to be out of the elements. I realized my this product is for interior doors but installed it anyway on the exterior door to our garage. It's has been on there for eight months now, and functions so well I don't wish to change it.What makes it for interior doors only is that it is missing the piece in the middle which covers the exposed inside of the door that you cut a hole in. I Cut a strip of Formica that I had and put it in the middle of this cat door to keep the rain and moisture out of the inside of the door. So far this has worked great. As far as I can tell the build quality and materials used in the interior door are the same as the exterior pet doors. Well made thick hard plastic sides and hinged door. It swings open easily and has the ability to lock if you feel the need.Obviously I don't recommend anyone to use this inside door on the outside door, but my point is that it is very well made and durable. Not a different flimsy grade or anything because it's meant for inside. The magnet is holding up great, I have had no problems with it falling out as a few people have mentioned. We have two cats that go inside and put quite a bit throughout the day and night, so I know it gets quite a bit of use.The instructions are easy to understand, they tell you exactly what you need before you get going so there are no surprises. There is a bit of overlap in the pieces so in case you are not perfect with your cuts it will not show when the door is installed.

Easy to install (with some modifications) and help from daughter; cat approved
UPDATE: One of our more persistent cats was able to eventually come to consistently hook the slide-lock, and open the locked door. We by that time were using it to separate 2 cats, so I ended up putting a screw in place to keep the lock in place.I used the cut-out center (trimmed) to fill the space between the panels of our hollow-core doors. As someone else mentioned, the template doesn't match both sides- the swinging door side is slightly smaller, so keep that in mind. It does work too cut both sides the same, but there's less room to play with in screwing the frame to the door.I drilled small pilot holes for the side that doesn't have holes, instead of trusting the frame to the adhesive. I have spare screws enough.I also drilled multiple holes all around, instead of using a jig saw. I just pressed through through the holes, from one to the next, and it worked great.
