Incredible resource!
Lots of samples to get ideas from, and many different jobs/industries are included. Great tool for people that want to update their resume, but don't want to spend the money to have a professional do it.

old book
the book is from 1994 and you can not use this book to learn resume writing tips. I didn't even ope the cover. Also the book was taken from the library. How people can do that? They are taking the books from the libraries and sellling them!!! Shame..

Overall, a really nice book
I borrowed this book from the library to update my tired, old resume. All in all, a really informative book. Some of the things I liked best about this book: the chapters were divided by profession which made it easy to look up your particular profession; different formatting/style/design (there was a great variety of layouts and the resumes looked 'fresh'); nice tip section on how to create your resume; and a section on cover letters showing quite a few examples. Where this book somewhat lacked was the absence on how to deal with problems in today's market (long-term unemployment, laid-off workers, older worker, etc.) and how those types of resumes should be formatted. This book was used in addition to 'Before and After Resumes' to create my resume and cover letter. I really liked that book because there were 'before' and 'after' resumes explaining what changes were made and why plus chapters were divided by special situations: short or temp employment, re-entering the workforce, long-term unemployment, over-50 worker, etc.I found what one book lacked, the other one had. Together, these two books helped me create a really up-to-date, fresh-looking resume.
