The Dhammapada and the Sutta Nipata: Second Edition

This particular book is the perfect example of the Impermanence. Its translation is 140 years old and is totally outdated. it uses a terminology and technical structure that makes it difficult to understand the text. Since I am not a native English speaker, it was surprising and confusing to find words similar to the current ones but in a different way (for example "thyself", "morrow", among many others).In the introduction to the Dhammapada, Muller sustain a long and rather tedious scholastic discussion trying to prove that the Pali canon represents the only and true teaching of the historical Buddha - something refuted by the linguistics and historians of present day - which is useless as irrelevant for Dharma practitiones.So if you are looking for these two texts in particular I suggest you the new publication "The Dhammapada: The Buddha's Path of Wisdom", Pariyatti Editions (September 23, 2019); and Bhikku Bodhi`s version of Suttanipata from Wisdom Publications.
