What is the shelf life once opened and does it need stored in the fridge?

Frighteningly, mine lasted over a year in the fridge. Of course the manufacturer can’t advise doing that, but it worked for me!

What does the label say about shelf life after opening?

Storage: Refrigerate after opening. Seal tightly after use. Best Before End date: MAR 2022 on mine, purchased FEB 2021. That said I use it regularly so there's no way it would be in my fridge for a year! Hope that helps? Another top tip. Measure if making stock, add little bit at a time to make sure the end result is not too salty.

Can you have this as a hot drink? I’m looking for an alternative to Bovril for my old mum who misses her hit chicken drink.

I suppose you could use this product as a drink, but it really isn’t designed for that. It’s concentrated stock, so you might have to use more than the dilution you would use for cooking in order to get sufficient taste. This will be quite salty in the proportion you’d need fir a drink.
