Spicely, Allspice Whole Organic, 3 Ounce

Quatre Épices, as this over-sized peppercorn is called in France, when carefully grown and matured, is a superb mixture (when ground fresh) of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, black pepper and ginger: this peppercorn is excellent. Having written that here are the caveats: this company's product it is over priced\ for the minuscule quality, poorly packaged for anythng but a one-time open and use, and I could not find on the package the country of origin. Shop elsewhere.

I was very careful to read reviews of this and other products before ordering and although many reviewers commented on flavor, no one reported an issue with size (as some had with other brands). If you plan on using a spice mill or a mortar & pestle to grind these you'll be fine. They range in size from green peas to peppercorns. I use a micro plane and unfortunately these are too small to hold and use safely.Please note that my rating of 3 stars is based soley on the size of the product (see photo). I haven't opened the packet as I will be returning.

Decent flavor but not great, other brands seem to be fresher.

Fresh Allspice, complex, subtle flavor. Best Allspice I have tried. Next time I will order two or three packages because they are tiny.

Just what I needed! I don't need fancy packaging, i just needed a small amount of organic allspice for a reasonable price! This was perfect!

Used these for a recipe for "infused winter bourbon." Fragrant, and the end result (which included orange peel, cinnamon, dried cranberries, cloves, etc.) was superb.
