Stylish and Functional
I love this little alarm clock! I wanted to replace the old school one that I had at my bedside since I was in high school (8 years ago) and I was looking for something with a super simple design that didn't stand out as super bulky and was more on the minimalist side of things. I absolutely adore the look of this clock and it's super easy to read the display. I have tested mine for batteries and they work well, but I'm just currently using it plugged in. I will say since the display is a bit bright it can interfere with your sleep if you're anything like me and need pitch-black darkness. Even the dimmest setting is really bright, but it makes for good light in the middle of the night if you have to get up for anything and don't want to kick on a light. It also is an easy fix at night if you want darkness; just turn the face of the clock flat on the tableside/nightstand/dresser for the night and there's no worry about the bright light. If I need to see the time I just turn it over. I will mention that I have not used the alarm feature on this clock just yet, but that's because my phone alarm is much better for me since I have it set to make me solve math problems in order to turn it off. All in all the clock feature is so simple and it's easy to use. it comes with a short cord, but it's not a problem for me personally. shouldn't be too hard to find a longer one online for cheap if that's a problem in the end. Also please keep in mind the size of the clock. It's not big at all. I can fit the whole thing in my palm and my hands are small. So there's that to keep in mind. Overall: Pros: Small, compact, simple and clean design, easy to use with instructions, lightweight, batteries are a good back up if your power goes out Cons: the dimmest setting is still bright, not real wood (like a plastic laminate), old-school button set up, possibly short cord Ultimately I love this and it's just what I wanted as far as aesthetics and function. ^^

Stylish and functional, but exceptionally difficult to set up
I'll be honest, I felt compelled to write this review to save some other poor soul from the grief I faced trying to set this thing up for the sole purpose of telling the time. True, plenty of other reviewers have complained of the same, but I thought, just how hard could it be to set up a teeny little clock? Well, apparently the answer is quite, so hopefully this review is helpful to someone. This clock arrived in a small box packaged in a padded envelope. the clock was neatly wrapped in bubble wrap. I was a bit caught off guard by the size. I knew the dimensions, but actually seeing it in person is a different experience. It is quite small. The clock came with a USB cable that was of decent length to plug in and set the thing on a nearby dresser, but if you're strapped for outlets just be aware this is does not come with a super lengthy cord, so an extension cord might be necessary. So then it came time for setup. I really, really only need this clock for the time and for no other purpose. I turned to the setup directions and initially it seemed straightforward, albeit needlessly lengthy if you have no use for any other function but the clock. You first hold down the "set" button and begin by setting up the year by pressing the up button. Okay, done. Then you hit the "set" button again to progress to the month/day setting. Cool, set the month, no problem. And then.... then what do I do? The directions merely state that you set the month by pressing up or down, but not how to progress to setting the day. They just say something to the effect of "when the day setting flashes, use the up/down button to set." But for the life of me, I could not figure out how to get the day to flash! Merely pressing "set" again like you do after setting the year seemingly exited the setup menu to some other mysterious menu I have no desire to ever decipher. After many minutes of fiddling around, I held the "set" button down for a couple seconds after setting the month. Bingo! That allowed me to progress to setting the day. I again held "set" for a couple seconds to then progress to setting up the remainder of the functions (12/24 hour, time, etc.) This just happens to be the key. While you only press "set" rapidly once to progress from setting the year to the month setting, you must hold it for a couple seconds to progress from month to day, from day to 12/24 hour setting, etc. So needlessly complicated, and something that really should be cleared up in the instruction manual. Aside from the ridiculous setup, I like this clock. It is simple and stylish. It is bright, but it dims automatically during the evening, and can be manually dimmed further if one prefers. My only other complaint is I wish the color of the light was more of a true wight versus the blue LED appearance this has, but no biggie. A well-known online museum store sells a very, very similar clock for more than triple the price, so this is truly a bargain. Overall, now that I have it set up, I'm glad I got this clock, and I'd recommend it!

So sad it doesn’t work
We got this clock for my daughters desk for distance learning. We thought it was perfect. Had option for 3 alarms. Easy to see. But the batteries died within a day. We replaced the batteries and it wouldn’t work. So we bought the power cord (because one doesn’t come with it) and it still doesn’t work. Maybe this one is just defective. Either way we are returning and will find something else for her.

Keep the instruction pamphlet. Then bask in the awesomeness.
This clock is smaller than I anticipated (in a good way, it belongs in a very small spot!) the finish is really awesome. It’s easy to read. It’s REALLY stinking bright if you see it in the dark but it automatically dims after 7pm. You can either have it display time only (in 12 hour format or military time), or have it rotate time, date, and temperature. You DO need to read the instructions to set it. I had to dig the pamphlet out of my trash because I was overconfident in my clock-setting skills with this one! Would buy again, definitely. Actually I might, I hate the clock in my daughters room. Edit: (man, I really need to wait a while before reviewing.) Battery life super sucks. I’m talking a few days with brand new energizers. It makes it seem like it’s broken but it’s not. So if you intend on leaving it somewhere plugged in, cool. But if you were planning battery usage, eh. Still love it, but seemed relevant.
