Needed to build safety pins for fire extinguisher that were magnetic. Work around a MRI machine and the pins on the fire extinguisher were medal and could come off and stick to magnet. I was able to use these to build non magnetic pins so they were safe around the magnet. Very nice quality.

these rods are straight and clean. But they measure in at 5.07mm not 5mm. this means that they will NOT fit in bearings with a 5mm ID.

My 6mm rod was between 6.06mm and 6.2mm. Very uneven machining, and not 6mm as advertised. Incompatible with 6mm bearings and bushings as a result - way too sloppy machining for this to be used for any linear motion purposes. If you just need some 'meh, close enough' stock bar, than, well, this meets the definition. If you want it for anything important where dimension tolerances are important, this is absolutely not the right thing to buy, from my experience and seemingly the experience of others. Should have listened to other reviews. They were right.

Just figured I should join the pile-on asking Glarks to label their product accurately. While it did take me about 40min to spin (electric drill + sandpaper) enough of the rod down to fit through a slip ring's 5mm hole, all the other vendors were offering only 100mm and I needed 125mm quickly for a prototype. So sanding it down was probably faster and certainly more reliable than trying to superglue two pieces together! But no way I'll be buying more from this vendor. (Starts looking at welders and lathes.... not that I have room in the garage...)

Straight, strong, good flex, was easy to work with. It deserves to be more expensive. And you get two rods.

It’s a little bigger than 5mm, but works great

The main thing is dont see any specs of how much heat do i need to melt this alum rod or stick it has to be thinner but in all reviews the product is ok

Just a note product says 5mm but ends up being 6mm which won't fit the pinion I had for it. Had to file down with a drill and metal file so the 5mm pinion and bearings would fit where needed.
